confused between 24 or 48 shots?!

hello...Here's the thumbnail picture,i'm 25 yrs old girl,i had my 7th shot last friday (pegasys 1 shot per week,1200 ribavirin mg per day)..i've been diagnosed with hep c,my viral load before tx was 9,000.....i did fibroscan and the result was F1,with almost a normal liver and very normal enzymes.

surprisingly,my doctor didnt ask for a genotype test,i wasnt aware of this test before starting TX..my first doctor told me that i'll take tx for 6 months-24 shots...later on,i went to take second opinion,i realised that i was supposed to have genotype test before starting,my second doctor told me that i have to take it for a year (48 shots) or it wont be effective, assuming that most of my country have gynotype 4.

i had genotype test but after my 4th shot,in which the virus was UND and my genotype too.

i'm very lost and confused,i dont know which doctor to trust...is there any way to detect my genotype now,24 shots is way different than 48 shots,it's hard to think that this treatment and all this tiredness would be totally in vain cause of different opinions!

Thank you:)

My GI put me on the triple tx with Incivek and told me it would be 48 weeks.  I will ask again when I see him

If your on just interferon and ribathats a 48week treatment. The only six month treatment is with incevik. That great that your und already, but I think 48 weeks shouldmbe your term. Good luck
