my doc (one of the best, by his peers as well) smiles and says it may actually help with sides..and of course it does..one reason i tolerated Peginterferon so well years ago

  I had to do the the "Triple Treatment", which meant being exact about popping my Victrelis, every 8 hrs.  The two time I ate the cannabis brownies, it felt great, but I over-slept, and was a couple hours late taking my night dose, which could've been disaserous!  So I stuck to smoking a little leaf, after my morning does, it worked great, and I SVRED.  I think the teeny amount I smoked was perfect, and kept my tolerance down. Inorder to do it that way, I quit smoking altogether, for 2 months before Treatment, and started in with the micro-dose, at 3 weeks. Just a few puffs from some home-grown, helped with nausea, and helped my head-space. Everyone is so different with their own reaction to THC, so this is simply my story, and I've smoked pot on and off my whole life, so I had a high tolerance to begin with.  
    Any "intoxicant" can sap your vitamins, so I made sure to eat a super healthy diet, and tons of water, especially after a puff

My hepatologist was a-okay with it.
I found a medicinal brownie eaten after my shot helped to counteract muscle pain.

my doctor told me i could smoke it to help with my sx.  it really helped me and now i am SVR.  good luck to you.  belle

I did it to help with nausea. I had not smoked since High School in the 70's. It kept me on treatment.

No, unless it's illegal where you live, then it might be dangerous to your  freedom but it will not negatively effect your treatment
