Such beautiful news for you and beau Boce! Congrats on sticking it out and succeeding on this tough journey.

Not that I want you to give away your age or anything but I agree with Marcia about your hemoglobin.  Although we may feel like emotional newborns after SVR, normal hemoglobin reflects our chronological age:

"The normal ranges for hemoglobin depend on the age and, beginning in adolescence, the gender of the person. The normal ranges are:

Newborns: 17-22 gm/dl

One (1) week of age: 15-20 gm/dl

One (1) month of age: 11-15gm/dl

Children: 11-13 gm/dl

Adult males: 14-18 gm/dl

Adult women: 12-16 gm/dl

Men after middle age: 12.4-14.9 gm/dl

Women after middle age: 11.7-13.8 gm/dl"

So hearty congrats again and all the very best to you!

Adult males: 14-18 gm/dl

I think your hgb is low, too, but time should change that.  My platelets are still only at 125,000, 10 mos. post-trial.  I'm pretty sure my bone marrow is still suppressed from the IFN and sometimes I wonder if it will ever let me go.  Your liver enzymes are same as mine, just beautiful.  All in all, I know 11.9 feels a heck of a lot better than 9 or 10!  Glad to see you recovering.

YAY VIRGO that is just fantastic news I'm so happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't feel bad that your hemo isn't flying through the moon just yet - mine took a while to go up (all the extra riba I was taking must have stayed in me for a while) it will go up slowly but surely! you are only six months out - takes a while for some of us sometimes.

That is really great news I'm so happy for you!  :)

Your reds are ok....

What are normal hemoglobin levels?

Normal hemoglobin levels are different in women and in men. In women, normal hemoglobin ranges from 120 g/L to 160 g/L (12.0 g/dL to 16.0 g/dL). In men, normal hemoglobin levels range from 140 g/L to 180 g/L (14.0 g/dL to 18.0 g/dL).
