I'm looking for folks who have had a similar response after only the second injection of Peg-Intron & Rebetol combo. I have 2b. How good a sign is this, are am I reading too much into it?

ALT down from 150 to 102
AST down from 82 to 66
GGT down from 98 to 96

haha Looks like you guys are having a good ole time!  Ellisg...that is tooooo funny!!  Peebee...why haven't you told your mom that you are on treatment?  Does she live in same town?  I honestly don't think I could hide that from my mom unless she was long distance.  haha I'm looking for the post where Ring had her hair fixed and the horse licked it but right now my energy level is on empty.  Went to work, got hair cut, went to grocery store, and took my nasty comforter to the washateria to be cleaned.  Since I have been laid up..my dogs and cats are all on top of my bed.  Anyways...I'm pooped!

Believe me, when I get up each morning, I am thankful. Since we're being humorous, I will tell about one other small side, and I do mean SMALL!

I need pepper and tweezers just to find that little thing in the morning to pee. I sprinkle pepper down there, and when it comes out to sneeze, I grab it with the tweezers! So it's an old joke, but it definitely applies.

Glad you appreciated my attempt at humor. You have a tough situation. I've been married to the greatest little Cajun girl for 23 years. She is also the best 'caregiver' I have ever met.

This situation we find ourselvs in is certaintly a test on our relationships. But think how much we will appreciate each other after it's over. We should cherish every snuggle!!!!

the NO SIDES thingy is WEIRD for me!!!!!! since i had tons and tons of them, UNTIL week 9.....and now... NOTHING...NOTHING...NOTHING....for the past 3 weeks...i actually got a wee bit panicked this morning thinking that maybe...just maybe....the brain fog was SO FRIKKEN BAD that i haven't EVEN TAKEN MY MEDS for the last 3 weeks CAUSE I RAN OUT OF POST-IT-NOTES...thanks in part to befudd and blueskies needing them MORE THAN ME....and that would account for the feeling of being....PERFECTLY NORMAL....oh alright, okay....no puns about me being 'normal' please...well, unless you just CAN'T resist......so, to sum up darlin.....do a 'no sides' dance and enjoy....(maybe...drink some coffee, get your hair done, have a smoke, celebrate it )!!!!! yahoo

ha ha thanks darlin, melt my heart with such sweet images...befudd is napping AGAIN...but....just so that you know....i DO use lemon juice on my fingers.....so there is no trace of nicotine...yukkkkk.....and my teeth are capped and NOT     stainable hahaha...thank God..but i still get them cleaned every 4 months anyway....plaque and evil gingivitis  etc. AND i buy 'febreze' by the GALLON so my house doesn't smell.....okay so now i have to go...get a lemon...brush my teeth.....use mouthwash....and febreze everything again.....i'll be back

Hey Ring, when I dream of a truckload of post-it notes to put up before the rain again I will bring some over so you don't run out.
I spent the last two days in my jammies, even went to the local store to get lunchmeat in them tonight.  I only hope that since I feel so bad before tx that I am getting it all out of the way early and will not have sides.  I am trying for optimism here. Daughter bought me some really nice flannel jammies, and an electric blankie on clearance at Wal-Mart.   Shadey

Thanks...........I asked the Nurse about GGT. She said that if it was as high as 300 or more, that's when people get jaundiced, and have extensive liver damage.

Another thing..........I have almost no sides!!! A little fatigued and less appetite, but nothing else. We'll see after #3
on Friday night.

Mine went down like that and then spiked up and now going back down. I'm not a doctor but others have said these can fluctuate during treatment. Going down indcate liver functioning better. The ALT indicates dying liver cells and the AST indicate dying muscle cells in general. The GGT has to do with Bile production not sure on this being an exact description but going down is a good thing also.

sounds about right to me.....mine went down dramatically and by week 9 i think....were PERFECTLY NORMAL...that is the ALT and AST...i don't know what the other one is.....so, i would focus on the meds doing their job...SLAYING THAT PUPPY!!!!!!.....it is still really early, but it is good news non the less....congrats
