Another Boc success story

Not me, although when I was in to see my trial nurse to pick up my lead in meds, she just got the 3 month post blood treatment results for a cirrhotic 3 time non-responder and she is SVR.  She was undetectable 6 weeks of taking BOC.  So far in our study location there have been no relapsers that were given the Boc.  This is great news especially for the hardest to cure population.  I’m really psyched to start.  They say the 4th time the charm.

Thanks cando.

She was the only stage 4 that got the real deal.  All of your group is stage 4!  Any idea of what your group is batting?

It doesn't look like big phama is cherry picking the easy cases to skew the study results.

When do you get tested for the 12 week post?  We'll have are collective fingers crossed.

Even though the trial is double blinded there was a simple way to guess if you were getting the real deal. i'm thinking there was 14 of us in the trial. Out of that 2 was still detectable at week 12 and was going in the rollover trial so they were definitely getting the placebo.

There was two that quit and one breakthrough, so out of the 9 of us left 4 weeks post tx there was one that had relapsed. It seems those that are RVR (und 4 weeks after the lead-in) are having the best results.

My hepatologist who is also the lead Investigator for Boceprevir strongly feels in being compliant in taking the meds and not dose reducing.

As for cherry picking, at least not him. He wanted his patients that needed to treat asap and wasn't worried about having the best results. Also remember these were 4 week post results and being cirrhotic and und at 4 weeks sure is nice we still have a ways to go.

Jan 13th is my 12 week post, if still und at that time we will feel alot better.
