Hi guys. Thanks so much for all the great advice. Did you ask the doc before taking tylenol or advil?

Ditto to the water.  I also found that heating pad would help relax the muscles that must have been cramping from the dehydration. It's amazing you drink drink drink but still are so dehydrated on treatment it's hard to imagine.

If anyone had not yet told him - half your body weight in ounces a day of water (of course if he is drinking other fluids they could in too but water is by far the best).  Thats the rule and it does seem to help a lot.

I had severe headaches too while treating. Usually they would start the day after my shot and last about two days. I drank gallons of water and that didn't help much. I ended up using 1 tylenol #2 along with one regular tylenol as needed. They usually would give me relief for about 6 hours.

Ditto on the water.  I was also allowed to take up to 4 extra strength tylenols per day on TX.

Staying hydrated really helps me.  When it doesn't, one or two ibuprofen seems to knock it out.

I hope it helps him too.

Yes headaches were bad for me for awhile...I kept an icebag on my head and took benadryl..only thing that made it tolerable.

Feel better.

GreatBird is right! Drinking alot of water helps flush the toxins out of your system as well as keeping you hydrated. I drink Gatorade. There is alot of sugar in it so I dilute it one part Gatorade to four parts water. Good luck to your husband! Hopefully his side effects will ease soon.

Is he drinking enough water or liquids? The meds are very dehydrating and headaches are one of the side effects of that.
