HCV 0.076 S/CO..

QRB
I am confused as if i should consult a doctor with the HCV test result. HCV 0.076 S/CO negative. Just to clarify further it had the test to be on the safer side, since my spouse (pregnant in her 5th month) found HCV Antibodies POSITIVE this week after being tested negative 8 months ago. However gonna take PCR Q.N soon to further clarify.. Any clues/suggestions please share. .. Thanks..

So your concerned that since your wife had a positive HCV antibody test that you may be infected with HCV?

Just because your wife has a positive AB test doesn't mean she has the virus. A follow up PCR is needed to confirm. Also...you said your AB test was negative so it sounds like all is good for you. I dont see why you would need a PCR since you tested negative but if it will help you sleep at night then do what you gotta do.

Good luck.
