Anyone get accupuncture for itching side effects?

digging into my shoulders and back, now starting on my legs. little bumps like pimples then they scratch off and become very irritable. Sarna, Goldbond-green for itching, now on Cortizone-10 daily or 2 x daily. Benedryl at night to sleep, but what about accupuncture will it give me some relief? I don't like the oatmeal baths either, I am using sensitive skin soap, and the shower wash of oatmeal type.

Bobby, I think I misunderstood the type of steroid.  I thought it was an oral 10mg.  Topical Cortizone should be fine.

I'm surprised your doctor recommended steroids while undergoing antiviral therapy if that is the cause of your rash and itching.  Generally they don't recommend long term use of  steriods while treating but will write for a prescription strength antihistamine, such as Atarax or Vistaril.

Haven't heard of acupuncture as a rememdy but who knows, if the itching is driving you nuts it's worth a try.
