I’m in the Sacto area, but am not too familiar with the trials right now. Is he seeing a good doctor in the area? Often, the best resource is a GI or hepatologist.
Was he a full non-responder or did he relapse?
Let me know; I check back from time to time—
Bill
Hi there, My husband is going to the VA. And he is a non-responder. He went through treatment 3 or 4 years ago.
I read about a trial where they were using Candesartin (Atacand) to prevent scar tissue from forming in the liver, as it's an angiotensin receptor blocker.
Atacand saved my life. I had heart failure, almost on the transplant list. I found a great doc at UCDavis (after firing one in Auburn who almost killed me), who put me on the Atacand. My heart is now normal!
So when I saw this trial I was really curious.

I'd do a search using those specific terms. The other thing you could try it contacting CPMC and ask if they're doing any trials in your area.
OH, I sent 'Bootz' a private message. If Bootz will look near the upper right hand corner of this page, she can click on 'inbox' to view messages.
OH, nice to see you around :)
Go to Clinical Trials.gov and follow the directions.Click on california then in the search bar type in the info. Hope this helps you.
