My BX went from 2/3 before TX to 0-1/1-2 after TX I relapsed withen 12 weeks but still feel pretty good. I decided to live with my little C virus friend for awhile. My doc only gave me a 30% chance of SVR if I went longer (72 weeks) and stronger dose of the current pegasas TX. At 52yrs old (had the C for 35 yrs) Not going to waste the best yrs I have left chasing the dragon until I have a bigger stick to kill it.
Kim, I hope your biopsy shows no advancement. Daily infergen is hard on your mind and body, I did 48 weeks 15 micros. Think about taking 9 micros instead of 15 as results are similar. Also maintenance (I'm on it) can slow progression with little sides.welcome back to the tx experience.
what kind of lingering sides do you still have and how long have you had em?
good luck on both your bx and new tx.
bobby
KIM, MAY GOD BE WITH YOU IN THIS NEW CHANCE TO CLEAR!
BLESSINGS FOR A "FINAL" TX,
SANDI
How the heck have you been??? happy and healthy i pray...
sandi
got word today from np that they will be starting vx950 trials for non responders in jan might be worth looking into
It's been a long trip. I don't post much anymore but I do sing your songs. That part never left after completing TX. I have a friend 1A doing the Infergen daily. It is tough. We all want to hear of your results. Quality of Life is still very important. Last time when the fog set in we all missed your songs. My prayers are with you again my friend.

Kim - I am so glad you are scheduled for the bx and it sounds like this doctor (NP, I should say) may just be the answer. I guess they have not suggested the form of treatment yet or you would have mentioned it. I will be thinking of you MOnday
Better - I will be thinking of Greg too. I don't remember wseeing any of your posts before (I have been around about a year and a half) and don't think I hve heard of the strategy of infergen every day for 6 months and then every other day. I would like to know when he cleared and how long he treated. I sure hope this is the one

Kim:
My husband went from a 3/4 to a 2/3 after two rounds of tx ("mostly 2"). His second round he did daily Infergen (15 mcg's) for 6 months and then went to every other day for the remainder. The sides on this Tx were difficult, and this time depression set in to make things worse. But, he never faltered and hung in there.
He goes today for his 6 month POST Tx PCR. Last time he relapsed at 1 year post tx. I'm hoping for better luck this time around.
Everyone, please have Greg in your thoughts. Kim, I've watched you for 3 years on this board. I hope, I hope, that you will beat it this time.
Warmest Regards,
Debbe
Good luck with the bx. It will be interesting to see how tx times two benefited your liver. There are links to studies we see here and the experiences of others that we read discussing some of the
IMHO I believe it is worth looking in to whether or not you are a candidate for yet another TX. When was your last TX? Maybe they will find that you can tolerate it better. I wish you the very best of luck in your exploration of TX possibilities.
Take care, Nicki
