About to Begin Treatment

I'm going to be undergoing treatment with PegIntron Alfa 2a, interferon and Victrelis.  I know the effects of the interferon and ribavirin, as I had treatment about 11 years ago.  BUT I'm a bit nervous about adding Victrelis, as I understand it also creates anemia, exhaustion, etc.

I want this to work, but I also don't want to be 'down and out' the entire 48 weeks-- Any suggestions/ideas?

I haven't taken triple, only IFN/RIBA. Looking at the forums it seems quite a bit tougher than combo. There are lots of threads here about what people are going through on triple. You will get a good idea by reading the posts.

Have you seen the recent developments with HCV treatments? People are getting fantastic results in interferon sparing trials with fewer, sometimes almost no side effects. There  are shorter treatments including SOC in various combinations as well. Search for PSI 7977 related posts in particular as that drug appears to be extremely promising.
