Can Tx interfere with Drug Test for new job?/ Last shot continue with Rib?

I took my last shot last night. I am so happy to be finished. And more good news: I might be offered a job on MOnday and will have to do a drug test. I am wondering if all these drugs in my system: Peg, Rib, Procrit, Neupogen, and Ambien to sleep, will interfere in any way with test results.

The other question, which I know the answer to, but somehow hope to be wrong is: Do we continue with Rib. for the week following the last shot? I forgot to ask my doc and today is Sat. I am assuming I should continue until Thursday.
Thank you

So true, so true.. During my 9 month stay in Metro West, out in the florida everglades, I saw alot of stuff.. They drew blood from me at 3:30 AM, to test for AIDS, and I fainted..They did this after waking me up, and no food or fluid in my system.. Did not want to see doc rest of time.. Couldn't get anything for reflux, as that wasn't severe enough..
But as for deaths, yeah saw a few..Guy hung himself in the shower, after being denied AD's..He was a child molestor, so that might have been why there was no smypathy.. Also, there was a story about a kid here in Miami, complaining about stomach cramps.. Gaurds kept telling him to shut up..He fainted..They did vitals, took him to the hospital, and of course died in ambulance.. His appendix had ruptured..
Wonderful system isn't it..It is amazing that we get so many repeat offenders.. I made the decision, not a place for me..

Great articles. I found the one about the prison systems interesting. It is a joke but interesting. I saw more sickness and guys simple drop dead than I can remember. I was in three years and never given a vaccine or for that matter any information. If your smart you avoid those doctors inside. The are all quacks! They are the ones that can not make it on the outside. In the federal system we had an underground system. We had a list of all the doctors in for stuff like medicare fraud. That is who you went to. And you bought all medications on the black market, everything was avalible for a price. I probably could have bought Peg and riba with the needle! In three years I saw a Fed doctor twice by requirements. That was twice two many! By the way the real numbers of how many die in prison will never be known. It is common knowlege that NOONE dies in prison. They fake the paperwork and always claim they died in the ambulance or at the recieving hospital. And any inmate that claims differently will end up in solitary for months. It is really a travesty.

If you're getting a job as an aid to the president, it will all show up.  If you're getting a job at the local Quickie-mart, don't sweat it.
Drug tests aren't cheap.
Most employers only test for hard street drugs like, speed, heroin, barbituates, opiates, cocaine, and pot.

ella, Hi there! I had to drug test before on my last job...I wasn't on tx, but I have suffered depression for years!!!! I was "worried" when I got home, because I forgot to tell them I was on ativan...I called back and talked to the lady who gave me my drug test...she said, don't you worry...we don't check for those kinds of drugs...like Scott said....they only test for illegal drugs, like "street drugs". I don't think you have a thing to worry your "sweet" little head about!!!! And congrats!!!! and good luck on your new job! I can't wait to be in your shoes one of these days!!!!! much love @ many prayers, Cindee :)

I took a random drug screen (5 panel, most companies use the 5 panel test) and asked the pee in the cup man if all the meds I was on would interfere with my results and he told me No- Just remember- Only take meds that are prescribed for you. Good luck- Harley Dude

Ella, congratulations. The future awaits you!!!I had to take drug test for years. Here is the deal. Ambien is Zolpidem it is in a class of drugs called sedative/hypnotics. I am 99% sure it will show up. But as everyone stated as long as you have rx and bring proof it shouldn

Actually, Ambien WILL come up on a test - depending on whether they do a 5 or 10 panel test. I believe it showsas a benzo. However, as long as you have a script, it is legally prescribed - doesn't matter.

Congratulations making it through treatment! I hope this was the hardest part of your life and it is now behind you with nothing but life to enjoy for many, many years.

Don't sweat the drug test unless you've been sneaking something you don't have a prescription for. God bless!  -Michael

I had to have a drug test for a new job first time on tx and the only thing they asked about was the vicodin in my system. All I had to do was show them a prescription bottle with my name on it and they were fine with it. Don't worry. Congratulations on finishing, the hard part is over.

After being gone for two weeks I cannot believe all that  I have read here today trying to catch up. Did EVERYONE quit taking thier antidepressants all at the same time? What is wrong with everyone lately have you all forgotten that we are in this together. If I wanted someone putting me down and being down right rude I can find that anywhere. I come here to share stories and comfort, laughter and tears and info.

wow, congratulations what a relief isn't it...as for the pills, yes continue to take them for the next week.....as for the drug testing, i'd worry about that when the time comes....just focus on the job interview process for now, and IF drug testing comes up...i believe they are looking for different drugs than you have in your system.....and you always can mention you have just sucessfully come through 'chemo'....which you have...interferon is the  same drug that is used for chemotherapy, you probably don't even need to mention anything come to think of it, as the testing will show that that is what is in your system....i would try not to worry but take great pride in your journey and accompishment....

cheers

Congrats on your last shot...
I took the riba for the week after per the doc, I believe most everyone does.
As far as the drug testing, I'm not sure. I believe if you list the rx drugs that you are using etc. It might be ok.
Someone else may know for sure.
