Can the pegintron cause cysts

Can anyone please tell me if you developed cysts since being on the meds.  I have found 4 cysts on my legs which were never there prior to the meds.  I scares me alittle.

I know this conversation was years ago now but I have run into a similar issue. I'm on triple therapy with incivek and am on week 13, just finished the 12 weeks of incivek and have only 12ish more to go with the Pegasys and ribaviron (hurray!). On around week 8 I ended up with a cyst like thing by my ear, i finally popped it though it was gross and painful. Had hoped that was the end of it but it has filled back up again. Haven't had this problem prior to treatment...could it be side effect from the treatment?? If anyone has any ideas they would be muchly appreciated due to my doc being out for the holiday weekend...

I have ask the nurse and was told to go and get the checked.  But not to worry.  Please keep up the good work and don't give in.  I have been so fed up, depressed angry etc.  Wanted to quit every friday before the injection but keep on trucking with it. I am 38/48 week treatment.  This site will keep you going with support.

saw Doc last night & she feels cysts are not too much to worry about but I need to keep a check on them - the one in my eye is only small at this stage.

the general feeling I have is that my body is under the weather & my reactions to treatment are compounded by the fact that I am tired, not eating or sleeping well & feeling very ordinary, so this is my body's way of coping...

Gina all that I can say is go to your Doc, & keep an eye on any changes in your body that concern you. I would love to know if you get any info at your end.

I am in coming up to week 10 of treatment & right now I feel like I coming to pieces. I am feeling very worn down & tired in general.

I know that I did not have any cysts prior to the meds and now I have 4 on my legs.  I will let you know what I find out too. It could be just a fluke.

Gina - oh my god I got some very nasty cysts/lumps under my arms & now one is developing in my eye. I had never had anything like this & my hospital did not have another patient who had the same thing. The one's under my arm settled after 6 weeks & I choose to think of it as my body changing & adapting.

The one on my eye appeared overnight so I am off to the doctor as soon as I finish work. Will let you know if I get any news.

Gina...
It's unusual not to get at least one reply... so I am assuming it's because nobody knows the answer to this one... I certainly haven't ever heard of it!

I am a little sluggish today, so I will get on the net & see if I find anything... but I can honestly say, that I think it is unrelated! I'll let you know "IF" I find anything!
