Well, my Hida scan came back normal. I had my Endoscopy yesterday, and I have Inflammation and redness in my stomach area, they are doing a biopsy. I also have several medium sized ulcers 5mm-8mm in my stomach area, and also Esophagitis, are doing a biopsy as well on those. I talked to my doc about Blood work, and they will be doing this as well, when everything comes back from Pathology. He also mentioned a cat scan. Hopefully, they will get to the bottom of this, since I am down to 103 lbs, and constantly have middle upper abdominal discomfort. I was surprised about the Hida scan, I thought something might show up with that.

please tell your doc to get your blood tested for Hepatitis A, B and C.

Yes, when I see him nxt wk, I will specifically ask to be tested for hepatitis. I have had blood work done before, another doc, but hepatitis was never found or talked about. I had a CBC test done, and all normal. But I have a hunch, this could be my problem, just maybe.

why don't you tell your doc to get your blood tested for Hepatitis A, B and C.

the only guess that counts is that of your physician, after he does all the tests needed. Most of us here are not educated in the medical fields enough to diagnose.

I am sure your dr will eventually order the tests you need, be it bloodwork, colonoscopy or whatever else is useful to make a dx. many symptoms are similar in  many diseases.

I agree with everyone.  Not only to have the scans but blood work will be needed as well.   Make sure they test for Hep while they are at it.  Unfortunatly we can only guess and the symptoms appear that it could be several things.

If he (the doc) was looking at and pressing the skin around your ankle area, he could have been testing for edema

Yes, he did mention blood work, but hasn't ordered any as of yet. But yes, I will ask him about doing blood work. Do you think any of my symptoms might be related to a problem with my liver or pancreas ?
I'm not sure why he felt the skin on my leg

Why are they doing an endoscophy? Are they looking for ulcers, GERD? Like Oak suggests, blood tests would be helpful in diagnosing liver disease.

Have you had and blood labs done?

Many of the symptoms you described seem that they could point to several different sources of the problem.  Looking more closely at what is going on within your complete blood count's (CBC's) gives a better indication as to what the probable sources might be.
