Help. Me please

I am a 34 year old female who has hep c geno type 1 & 2. My area doctors have never treated a case like mine what or where should I seek help?

Did the doctor actually get the lab report that said Geno type 1  & 2 or did he tell you that he thought you had 2 geno types?

Sometimes (albeit rarely) the lab has a "sequencing " problem with the assay and the explanation is to the doctor from the lab that  they cannot tell geno type because they supect you have 2 types.

However there are cases of having two types and if that is the case as can- do- man mentions it is not common and should be evaluated by a  Hepa that is familiar with this

You need to seek out a hepatologist at a large teaching hospital, while not all that common there has been people with two geno types. From what i remember reading you should be treated with the guidelines of a geno 1... Best of luck to you

at the minimum you should be seeing a gastroenterologist, but preferrably a hepatologist.
