Viral load hep c

I just found out that I have hep c two weeks ago. Yesterday I found out it is 1A and my viral load is 1.2 million. They are referring me to a specialist.
My question is can your viral load be to high for treatment? And if it is can they lower it and then get treatment. I'm taking milk thrisle, wheatgrass and probiotics.

Your viral load is not that high as Dee said, it won't be a factor in being treated or not treated, it can flutuate day to day. Do you know how long may have had it? The virus is very slow to cause damage to the liver, your doc will be able to determine more with additional testing, such as an ultrasound. We will be here to support you.

Hi there, I am sorry to hear, I'm sure you are shocked.  1.2 million is not that high for HCV. The specialist will probably tell you, it can fluctuate quite a bit.  It is only important once you are treating.  I am sure others will be along soon to answer.  I just wanted to say hi.  Just for reference, my first viral load was 7 million, it went up to 12M then down to 346K right before starting treatment.
The newer treatments are reported to be much easier.
Good luck!
Dee

i just found out also but i havnt gotten tested for hep c itself yet or whatever. just says 11.0 ratio.
That is the signal cut off ratio this looks like an antibody test you will need the test for the virus itself the HCV RNA test to know if you are currently infected with hep c
