Don't panic the likelyhood of relapse after achieving SVR are very slim. If your are worried get another PCR but in my unprofessional opinion you are safe.
Have a great day

Thank you and I will be sure to post my results. I'm glad you said it's natural to be scared because the treatment was scary enough. But it was worth it all. Sure wish I knew of this forum then because I had alot of bad days, I would love to help others in any way I could.

The chances of relapse are very slim. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of one person that relapsed after an undetected 6mo. post tx PCR. What you are going through is natural. I think a person would have be a Stoic in order to not panic over their 12mo PCR. You should be fine. Let us know when your results come in.

Thank you so much! I have worried my self sick every since my treatment. I would steer away from anyone who even had a cold. So you have had chronic Hep C right? I do hope all goes well and thank you so much. I wish I knew about this forum when I was going through the treatment. You too have a great day.

And yes the antibodies will stay with you forever but thi s doesn't mean you have an active HCV infection.

no I am due to have my yearly check in 2 weeks. The reason I'm asking is because I was told to be very careful about keeping my health good, so I haven't even had a cold until now. I have a sinus infection and it's scaring me because usually you feel better after 3 days of antibiotics and I don't. I have had lots of stress the last 4 months and it's taking alot out of me. Do you know if running your immune system can make it come back? I know it stays in your body for the rest of your life.

Could it possibly be HCV anti-bodies and not HCV?
