Editing? Introduction...

I couldnt find a way to edit my other question, is there a way?

I wanted to also introduce myself, and say that i will be here to support and read and listen, as i can use some support myself.

It is pretty much my friend and i in this alone and together; i've known him for 22 years, and i know this treatment is going to be a battle for him.

He has been clean and sober for many years, with some occasional use of MJ for medical issues.  He is 58 years old, and probably has had Hep C for over 30 years.  I guess it came to be "now or never" for the treatments.

He goes to most of his appts. alone and tries to do as much as he can on his own, but we live together so i am here for a lot of it.

I wish everyone peace and the best of health... ~Jellz

Pegasys injection .5ml 1xweek
Ribavirin 600mg 2xday
Incivek 750mgx2 - 3xday

Thanks.

He's a good guy that made some bad choices in life (life everybody else, i think).  Just some bad choices end up treating us worse than others.

It's not the easy thing for me to do, because it's hard for me to see him not feeling good, even tho i've seen it before.  But i KNOW it's the right thing for me to do - so that makes it a lot easier.

He was there for me before... and i'm also a huge believer in Karma  :)

Hi... thanks.

In answer to some questions:

I dont know the extent of his liver disease, but i do know the he had a liver biopsy about 3 years ago, and bloodwork ever since to check.

His doctor decided this year that it was time for the treatments.  So to me, i guess it does not sound good as far as progression.   He likes to keep some things to himself, and i dont push him as he is an independent person and sometimes wants to be macho - ya know??  (:
