Pls give me an update on your results ok..I'm sooooo truly excited for you.. We did have a dr contact us back and he doubted she was infected told her to wait 4-5 mos before she gets a blood test so I'm feeling confident she is fine.. Will have her test to ease both our minds.....Be Well
Deb.
Thanks for the good luck wish for my 12 week EOT viral load. Had the blood draw last Wednesday 9/3 nurse said I should hear Monday or Tuesday.
Good luck to you and you daughter as well. I think I would as my doctor their thoughts about the needle stick incident but like I said I am fairly confident she should be fine.
BTW Lynn I just wanted to add to previous post that I want to wish you good luck on your upcoming test...I forgot but when do you go? This is first EOT, right....I'm a little foggy these days. Let me know how the test comes out ok.
Take care
Deb
Thx for the encouraging words I needed to hear that. I was think inking the same thing but wasn't sure if I was just in denial...thx again...hope you are well. Take care and I will keep positive thoughts for the both of us...
Oops
Everything is fine and she won't get hep c.
Take care
Lynn
Well you might be cured just won't know til 12 weeks post but in any case your viral load is UND so if you have any bugs you don't have many. Ask your doctor what they recommend. Wait and see or treat now to make double sure could be a possibility but they most likely would want to wait I would think. But really I really in my laypersons opinion don't think the odds are high that she will get hep c. Just think positive that everything is
Hi Lynn..6 wks in Tx so I'm not cured right.....I'm soooo worried Lynn
Deb
Hi
Since you are undetectable the likelyhood your daughted contracted hep c is nearly impossible if you have eridicated the virus there is nothing for her to catch.
For peace of mind you could have her tested in six months to make absolutely sure.
But even worse case she did contract hep c if you still had some small amount of virus lurking she could treat with the new meds and eridicated the virus.
How long have you been undetectable? More than 12 weeks post means you are cured and no longer have the virus so there would be nothing to catch.
Good luck
Lynn
