My Dr. checked my blood every week while on Neupogen. I think that every week is the preferred interval, I may be wrong.
You will get used to that stuff, it just makes you achy with some bone pain for a day or so.
Since everything else makes you feel like ****, the Neupogen should be just another adventure for you.
It's really not too bad, and if you didn't get it, they would have to pull you off treatment.
Hang in there. You can do it.
Thank you for your imput on this med.I am nervous about doing the first shot tonight, but like you said I am willing to do just about anything to be over this dreaded disease already.
I asked my doctor when I should do it? I do my peg on Sat night and procrit on Tuesday now Neupogen on Wednesday. He never said anything about 24 hour time period. Thanks for letting me know.I will be checking my WBC in two weeks.
Well my white blood count and neutriphil count dropped drasticly enough for the doctor to be concerned. He said that with all of my blood counts so low he doesn't know how I manage to go to work every day.
He prescribed neuprogen for me to start, but only for two weeks to see if it helps. He didn't really want to do this because of all the side effects that go along with it, but had no choice at this time, except take me off my meds (that is not an option with me though)I have gone through treatments twice now. Just finished 53 out of 72 and not about to quit now. What I am asking here is what side effects have others experienced from the neuprogen?
I can't wait for this to all be over. I am soooooo sick of sticking myself with needles (3 a week now with neuprogen and procrit) and up to 10 pills a day of one thing or another.
Thank GOD only 19 more weeks.
as a diabetic close to your age, I have studied endlessly this disease. Yes, diabetics can exhibit Hi normal readings and experience other autoimmune like afflictions much like those exhibited with hepc. including arthritis, fibromyalgia as well as other autuimmune afflictions. the main and prevalent concern diabetics have is progressive worsening of symtoms and slow response to clearing of infections, virus etc. that is why the multitude of of tests we need each year to track the ravage of this disease. there is no cure only treatment. the other concern is insulin intolerance. If your doc. found the higher levels , I hope he has done all the other tests as well

I think most of us would love to have numbers that low. In fact, I'm surprised your levels aren't higher considering all the meds you're taking for your MS. You have enough on your plate already, I wouldn't worry too much about your slightly elevated enzymes.

Yes I agree with the above opinion. These values are just normal high.
