PM medication

Okay so I have to take my meds at midnight. Is there anyway I can take them 30 mins earlier? I'm so tired and I can barely keep my eyes open. I take my meds at 8am, 4pm, 12am

like hp said, 7-9 for Incivek

I took mine per my hepa and RN at 6am, 2 pm, and 9pm, and had my phone timers set for it. That way I didn't have to stay up until 10pm. Those 6ams sucked as I 'don't usually eat that early, but all of us who did it, got through it. And God Bless Zofran!

Man, I sure got tired of hearing that thing going off....

Sounds great. It takes time to get into the groove of what feels right and works. Hang in there!!

Thank you to all. I do take them within the 7 to 9 hours. I just wanted to know if there was a little leeway in between taking the meds. I never take them before 7 hours or 9 hours I will just stay in that 2 hours window and stay as close to the hours that I have made.

I would not be able to handle that routine. I discovered fairly early in the game that I could not eat 20 grams of fat and then go to bed.

I can't stand eating in the morning but it was the lesser of two evils. What eventually worked was an early morning dose and then maybe going back to bed a few hours. Something like 6 - 2 - 10
or even: 5 - 1 - 9

The idea is to establish a routine you can adhere to stick with without disrupting your sleep or stomach. Staying up late simply to take your meds sounds like a hassle. You may have to set your alarm so you can get up and take your dose on time

The other thing is that Ribavarin can be somewhat stimulating so you might want to take it earlier as well.

How should I take INCIVEK?

Take INCIVEK exactly as your healthcare provider tells you. Your healthcare provider will tell you how much INCIVEK to take and when to take it.

Take INCIVEK 3 times a day. Each dose should be taken 7 to 9 hours apart.  Eat a meal or snack that contains about 20 grams of fat, within 30 minutes before you take each dose of INCIVEK. Talk to your healthcare provider about examples of foods that you can eat that contain about 20 grams of fat. Always take INCIVEK with food.

You will be ok just make sure to stay within the 9 hr window for your next dose

Ate you on the Triple Treatment, and if yes, with Incivek or Victrelis?
The Incivek insert says to take every 8 hrs, and the Victrelis says every 7~9 hrs, but ideally, it's 8 hrs, and this fact is very important, to prevent a drug tolerance issue. This virus is tricky, and hides out, waiting for an ebb in the amount of antiviral in your system, and then it can change slightly, so the antiviral medicine is no longer effective in killing it. There-fore, an even amount of Direct Acting Anti=Vitral med (Incivek or Victrelis) has to be in your system.
If you are only on Interferon and Ribaviran, then yes, you can take the Riba pill early, becuz it stays in the system much longer then the DDA's
