Do transplants have a lower rate of SVR?

Due to the immunosuppression, do transplants have a lower rate of SVR, for example with the treatment Sovaldi/Oylsio for 1bs? Is there any study based on thoese people?

I hope not! ;-)

I am 1a, 7 months post transplant, started Sovald/Olysio 30 days ago, currently undetectable..  will let you know ..

I asked my team a similar question, more like "how many transplants are being treated with S/)?" and they said "counting you?"  eheh

Did it anyway.  New liver, new live without Hep C.  what could be better?

Hi HippyHal,
thanks for your response! That's great you are now undetectable.
I just wonder if there was a clinical trail specially based on post trans with HCV recurrence. I hope they are with the same rate as others.
I wish to hear your good news later!

My Drs. were unaware of any specific clinical trials using only transplant patients and were developing their own based on the standard clinical trials and experiences (thus the reason they are still not sure of the length of my treatment)..  they think they may recommend the 12 weeks but I am asking for another month as insurance..
