Finally moving forward.

Well I had my EGD done today, finally! And I must say I was very happy to hear that I have no Varience's This is good news. Now turn the page to the NEXT chapter hope that is as un-eventful as the test today. Wish this would all go away but we know it wont but cant blame a girl for wishing. I dont see my md. until Sept. not sure why but he said 4-6 weeks after scope. Maybe call tomorrow and ask why I was just a little foggy when I left the hospital today.

Hey Bill, no they have not mentioned cirrosis to me. Had a battery of blood work done 3 weeks ago but did not see my dr. today another in his practice did the scope. I know the last blood work did include a boat load of stuff in fact the lady at lab corp said she had to look alot of the test up to code. So I guess thats a good thing, he's being through. I did look up some of the tests he requested one was for ama, sma, liver fibrosis afp and the rest were just the norm. So as soon as I get those results hopefully I can move on. I guess its just one day at a time. Patience is not one of my strong suits but I am trying! As long as the train is moving I'm ok but when it stops then I hear the clock ticking. I'm not 22 anymore and like most here have had this crap for probably 30 plus years.

Congratulations on the positive EGD results! Out of curiosity are you cirrhotic? It’s unusual to develop esophageal varices in the absence of portal hypertension/cirrhotic environment. These tend to develop as a result of collateral flow through the portal tract of the liver when scar tissue restricts normal flow. Good luck as you move forward,
