WHAT CAN I TAKE FOR PAIN while on TREATMENT? legal or NOT, LOL.

I am a BIG WUSS when it comes to PAIN, and I have to do this for a YEAR, WOW.
realistically, I will need something to intercept the PAIN and make it manageable.
I plan on WORKING, too, while on it, unless its just TOO painful and I constantly need to be at home during the treatment, my doctor is NOT very easy to understand, he is a foreigner, LOL.
SO, please tell me, whether it be METHODONE, CODEINE, VICODIN, street drugs, etc.
I am DESPERATE to make it SUCCESSFULLY through this treatment ONE way or another, I cannot fail at this.

Thank you

The antidepressants mentioned by orphanedhawk will not only treat the interferon induced depression but will actually make you more tolerant of pain, which sounds like your real issue. Prozac (fluoxetine) is supposed to be the easiest one of this class of drugs (SSRIs) to wean off of later.
Staying blissed out on opiates/opioids may sound like a great way to do treatment, but added to the other psych stuff interferon causes, it's probably not the best way to get through this. There is at least one study that shows methadone maintenance clients doing well on treatment, but I wouldn't suggest becoming methadone dependent just to get through treatment.

Not everyone suffers when on treatment, so wait to see how you feel.  The first week you might feel like you have the flu and you can take tylenol unless you have some particular reason not to take it.  That said, you shouldn't take anything without talking to your doctor about it.

Good luck

You should ask your doctor. Some meds ( legal or not) will interfere with the interferon and riba you are taking. There are some of us who use pot to help with the symptoms. Many doctors will prescribe antidepressants. This is not for pain, per se, it is for depression that can accompany tx.
I am also a wuss and the best thing to remember is how ever you feel, it will pass.
Good luck
