Fish Oil

Now that I have completed tx, I would like to try to get my skin back in shape.  I know, it is winter and that can be brutal by itself.  Just itchy and dry, hair too.

Any thoughts on Fish Oil?  My doc told me to only take a mutlivitamin for now.  Dont add a lot of other stuff

Thanks
Shari

I treated for 6 months due to my geno type being 2b.   My hair started shedding about week 19 or 20 and after I stopped treatment at week 24 it continued for about 5 to 6 more weeks, and then stopped.  My skin was just awful while treating.  My skin as always been fairly dry and it was terrible on these meds.  It now has rebounded, itching gone (that was really bad).     I will always wonder what "after the fact" these drugs will have.   Every little thing that crops up that I didn't have before, I always wonder if this is a side effect from the INF and RIBA.

I take omega 3 fish oil, 1000mg w/ meals, 3x daily. I also take flaxseed.  Vit E is good for skin.
I use shea butter on my hands and jojoba oil in my hair.     good luck.

My vit does not contain iron.  Thanks!  A lady I work with takes flax seed oil but she also boosts up on her Omegas.

I am a strict vegetarian so I don't take fish oil. But I get my Omega 3's from 2 tablespoons of  Flaxseed oil every day. It helps or cures about 20-30 different ailments. It works best if taken with a calcified protein like cottage cheese or yogurt. Your body needs Omega 3's.

Your multivitamin must not contain iron.
