No. If that were true there would be a much worse epidemic. It's contracted by Blood to Blood. Bad blood going into good blood veins. It's not that easy to catch. If someone in your home has HCV just don't share PERSONAL items. A doc once told me that if I bled on dishes in the sink it doesn't matter. HCV blood has to enter your clean blood/veins.
