I was actually excited to get started after the long awful doctor dance of diagnosis.  I stayed excited for a good 6 months, I guess because I felt like I was actually regaining some control over my life.

Except for shot night (and not everyone has the flu-like reaction) the first month I just felt a little weird, can't put my finger on it.  My hgb started dropping at 3 wks., so I was tired but it would be a long time before hgb levels got low enough to correct with meds.  Feels the worst as the hgb goes down from normal high levels and started sooner than I expected it to with the fatigue.  It's a one day at a time process, and it is sometimes unpleasant but usually bearable.  You'll do fine.
