I was actually excited to get started after the long awful doctor dance of diagnosis. I stayed excited for a good 6 months, I guess because I felt like I was actually regaining some control over my life.
Except for shot night (and not everyone has the flu-like reaction) the first month I just felt a little weird, can't put my finger on it. My hgb started dropping at 3 wks., so I was tired but it would be a long time before hgb levels got low enough to correct with meds. Feels the worst as the hgb goes down from normal high levels and started sooner than I expected it to with the fatigue. It's a one day at a time process, and it is sometimes unpleasant but usually bearable. You'll do fine.
Good luck!!!! Make sure to take tylenol or advil an hour before first injection, LOTS of fluids, gravol when needed and a warm blankie and time to sleep......
I remember you . you will do fine ! just remember the things you hear ,and really apply them. keep us posted.hope you have minimum sides . good luck
