Rev, are you H Clinton or her entourage?

Anyone who disagrees with you = Right Wing Conspiratist

I notice a lot of huffing and puffing about the current admin but have seen nothing in the way of a solution.

Typical. Just a complainer who brings nothing to the table.

"I could go on but you, like the South, are a lost cause."

You were referring to South Philly right?

the idea of health care being a NOT for profit system is one i warmly embrace!!!! just think about the  preventative measures that would suddenly be "cost effective" and the moneys saved by removing advertising, lobbying, dividends and bloated ceo salarys from the equation.....crazy as it sounds, but  maybe more money could be spent on serious life threatening deseases and none on viagra-oops,just lost part of my audience.....

Then if you really believe so then look at what such countries that have those systems.

Russia and China have the scientists able to develop nuclear technology and space travel. Their not for profit medical research has produced exactly what in the past 50 yrs?

Where is the motivation to improve on drugs in a not for profit model??

For example one a blood pressure pill is developed why would the state invest billions to find another one? We would be stuck with beta blockers instead of having calcium channel blocker, ACE inhibitors, ARB' etc etc.

Your theory sounds good on paper just like a society where everyone is equal. The cold hard truth is such systems are disaster in practice.

and systems that react only to market forces are not?? perhaps a blending which may include best of both...people are decidedly not equal when inherited wealth&social position interferes..a social system that is only beholden to corporate interests-profit$$-creates disasters too!....

Sounds like my high school daze

i,for one,am not screaming...and i do believe u.s. tax code is not progressive enuff for corporations, ceo's ,enertainers ,athletes, but most especially unearned income and inherited wealth...that's the real and debilitating problem with our system...unearned&inherited wealth distorts the system in a very unproductive & undemocratic fashion...it prevents merit and true intelligence/knowledge from rising to the top; thus allowing unchallenged mediocrity  to rule..

Why blame the drug companies and not ourselves?

You yell and scream when a drug company does the evil thing of showing a profit for a product that saves lives but you google and ahh when a Hollywood actor makes 20mio for making a movie that makes you laugh.

Why isn't there pressure for Hollywood to cut their obscene profits and contribute to health care? Its easier to blame ugly CEO's than the untouchable beauties.

How many lives did those 'unsafe' drugs save?? Do you give zero credit for the drug companies for saving these untold lives?

This attitude about the evil drug companies (like the movie Constant Garderner) sicken me.

The drug companies don't even want to produce vaccinees anymore due to potential lawsuits. Let the companies make the products and YOU decide if you want to take them. Its ridiculous govt regulation that stops drugs like VX-950 from coming to mkt quicker.

Everybody just looks at the cost of the current medicines and never thinks about how much money drug companies spend in research and development.

Do you know how much money Pfizer put into its new cholesterol drug before it was pulled in the Phase III trials?

Try $1,000,000,000.

Can a not for profit organization afford to invest 1bio and survive if all their medicines are sold at cost?

That would mean no drug companies are viable and we are back to witchcraft or homeopathy.

If you had ANY credibility you would not take any drugs offered by the drug companies.

Go back to growing your weeds and smoking them.
