Hi Crybaby,,,Haven't seen you in awhile and hope all is well!

Everyone has stirred the pot at one time or another whether it be riba or non riba and just something that has been laying low for awhile and needs to come out.  And it sure does keep the viewers and us posting right...Sometimes,,,these can be our biggest threads and even to be continued LOL  I guess  ACTION = REACTION and we all like to stay tuned!  Just as long as we all state our views and not personally tear each other apart or tear the board down,,,,this should be ok right?  Just to vent and let off a little steam and then we can move on only again.  This board does have ups and downs and then it can be on such an even keel for a very long time!  Its bound to happen once in awhile just as long as everyone doesn't take it to personal and therefore sever ties.  Hey,,,thats just life in general anyways!

I guess we're going to have to get numbers to get into Indys business. I just know I'm #3 in line. AND, I want the "Owners Special". Really, people lighten up, we need all the laughs we can get at this time in our lives.

Obviously, Riba Rages Rule on this particular thread.  Thanks so much to all for the response.

I would like to be first a customer in Indy's new establishment, and then hope to work there after treatment.  Of course with his family's (wife's) approval.

For all those who are new and don't know, that was a joke.  I come here quite often to get a laugh and be uplifted.  I don't get to post much because often lately, this is what you find.  That's too bad.  But because of the long timers here, I will continue coming back.

God Bless You and Yours, Everyone!  LOVE ROBIN

hair loss can occur during treatment, but is rare.  I have some thinning, so this is what I did:  First, get some satin pillow slips, as this will reduce the friction, and so the hair loss.  Cut your hair short, and cut it regularly to keep the ends healthy and stimulate growth.  If you already have dry damaged hair prior to treatment, keep it conditioned, moisterized, and do not dye it, perm it, or cause any other damage to be done.

I have not found anything TB said to be different from opinions expressed by others on this forum. I would think most on this forum feel the same way. TB, KEEP POSTING ...

Hahahahahahaha
You guys crack me up. My comments to Chevy were directed to HER directly for a reason. They were based on a phone conversation we had this afternoon. We were talking about her recovery and all she was experiencing relating to that. You probably can't see the joke because you were not part of the phone call. She understood the jokes even though you could not. Maybe thats why I posted it to HER and not to YOU.
I never said anything about breasts.....you did. I talked about the bumps she had as one of her side effects. If you choose to add your own words to others posts then you will have problems with much of what they might say.
I have also never said to anyone that she ever lifted her shirt up. She wore a low cut conservative top that day and it showed the upper chest and part of the shoulders. The bumps were there and she tried to show me. I was too embarassed to even look there even though she tried several times. They were in plain sight and even her Gent and my brother commented on them.

I see no point in having to explain my posts to you but I do so this one time only to show you how far off base you are these days.

Any further comments I have on this would take me into the world of you being the new Self-Proclaimed thought police......and I choose not to go there on this Forum.
Any further discussion about this or any other problem you might think you have with me should be sent to me in E-mail. You know my address.

Silvermoon...There are great Hep guys at SC medical university. That is where my husband is getting his treatment. He starts this fall. These guys are really good and I heard the only Hepotolgists in SC. I'm sorry your last year has been so crappy.

Well, not that it is all that important but I wont let you call me a liar either. I thought the post ironic in that it was 2 weeks ago, the person he told , said you embarrassed him by pulling up your shirt to show him your "riba rash" more than once. They said nothing about your breasts and neither did I. How would I even know you met him.I was in Mexico at the time. Why would anyone just say" sher, Indy met Chev and she kept pulling up her top to show him her riba rash? She thinks he is soo sexy NOO NO it was the sexiest man she ever met?? Beats me cause you and Indy are not close to me.Wonder why she would lie to me like that? NOW who was there but Jeff to spread that rumor? Any way this is as inproper as Indiana's sexual disrespect...I like to say what I think Chev, no inuendo.

Indy I'll just say this straight to you. You know exactly who and what you say behind peoples backs on here. It is one thing to have gone through the Hep and the treatment and the vast research you have done has helped shape this board, for that I think we are ALL grateful. That you share your knowledge so freely is awesome. But the behind the scenes constant gossip and pitting women against each other,I dont want to name names along with the ever constant gossip about all of us you talk about is not a good thing. Oh and for your information I am NOT bi-polar, does that help you out? I dont think you want me to go on.

Maybe since all the meds are out of his system (Indy's), the "REAL" Indy has shown up. Maybe he should go back shooting Interferon (he sure seemed different when he was on the stuff). Get a grip Dude!!

Oh yeah. Who started the "stirring" here? I mainly believe comments should be fair and respectful. Well, enough said, I suppose. Readers, form your own conclusions ...

we all know which percentage you belong to. you only pop in to stir stuff and then leave, at least susan has tried to be supportive to some as most of us have.

i needed to pop in on another thread to tell you that you are the biggest phony this site has seen since way back in the rick days. i check in once in a while, and read your garbage and it is enough to make me want to vomit. you make me (and quiet as it's kept, probably 99% of the folks around here) sick.

I couldn't agree more. I will say though Jeff spread to other women on line that Chev pulled her top up constantly when she met him to show him the bumps on her chest, so maybe she likes being treated like that and he loves to share his experience with her to others here. I just hate a guy that tells, my Dad always told my brother that is  very disrespectful. Let  alone Jeff's  wife's feelings, and that IS lack of respect for the ultimate woman. Now that is TRUE COLORS, Chev.

I'm not so sure that that urinary infections and hair loss pre-tx are caused by the hep. It's easy to blame everything we have on the Hcv once we are diagnosed. Many docs will try to do that too. Unless your white counts are way down nowadays, I would make them look for other causes of these problems.

Robin....
Most folks just have a thinning of the hair on tx. It falls out normally anyways but it is normally replaced right away. On tx, it seems that the hair on our head just doesn't grow.....hardly at all. But the hair everywhere else does.....BIG time. You may find some new "weapons" when you look at your eyelashes. My fingernails also grew FAST on tx. So....sometimes there are benefits to offset the sides. My hair started making a big comeback very soon after I was done with tx. As did everything else. The skin problems took the longest but they faded too.

Chevy......
"Bumps" on your chest eh? Well.....sounds like you need to visit my NEW business....."Uncle Indys' HCV Recovery Center". We can do a "thorough" inspection of any chest bumps and recommend a course of action. Ask for the "Owner Special" and I will personally throw in a great massage of that effected area and a thorough inspection of any other "bumps" and areas that you might have missed yourself, complete with pictures and maps to be viewed later. But wait!!....I'll also throw in a free lunch.....ALL FREE OF CHARGE!!!
Libido usually returns rather quickly so you are welcome to check out our Intimate toy and clothing shoppe and/or take advantage of our "Escort Service". Currently the escorts consist of just me and Bubba(the oil change mechanic)...but we plan to expand soon.
RA symptoms can be helped in our "Sauna". This is currently just a small room with a heater turned on High....but we have plans to expand soon. Other services are availiable upon request. Make your appointmant early. We expect business to be Brisk.

Hi there. I just finished 48/48 and the last two months or so were the worst for my hair falling out. I had really obscenely thick hair and thought I would not miss it. But it is now so thin I can see my scalp in the back. Vitamins and B-complex were the what I was lacking. I got short of money close to the end and couldn't get my vitamins and that is when it started falling out for real. I also took a can of Ensure every day while I was on tx. It made all the difference in the world as to how I faired on tx. The first time I tried tx, I bombed out in 5 weeks. Low RBC's and WBC's and I had to stop. This time I was on Pegasys and Copegus, 90mg Pegasys and 4 and then down to 3 Copegus a day. I have a real blood problem on tx. My HGB got down to 8.6 and let me tell you that is low.
Now that I am off tx, I still take the vitamins and Ensure and use Nioxin. Hair is slowing down on the falling out, but the energy thing is a long time in getting better. The more you lay down, the more the hair will fall out. That is the way it happened with me. But everyone is different. The Ensure really made the difference in whether I could make it on tx and when my hair started falling out.
OHC, OkieJim, hope you are doing well, along with the other ones just coming off tx. Kinda weird, huh?
Good luck and best wishes
Bodie

Hey Sterling:  Here's something hopeful for you.  right before I began treatment, my viral load was 35 million - and I was undetectable at 4 weeks, and remain so at 13/24.

As for hair, I haven't lost any, I don't think, but it's definitely taken on a different texture, grows in different directions, and seems to grow slower.  On Friday I had it all cut off, actually - major crew cut.  It'll be interesting to see how fast/slow it comes back!

Hi Robin,,,,Sorry to hear you misread viral load but mine was 8 mil to start with and no detect at 3 months and there is many more with even higher viral loads.  The meds make your hair fall out at root but also your hair is drier and does seem to break it off also.  I have tried alot of things but not really sure if any have helped awhole lot.  Right now I'm using that Nioxin shampoo.  I didn't notice my hair falling out until about week 12 and it seems that everyone is a little different on that.  Hope this helps and if you have a plan or know of something,,,please share....

Good Morning all!

I would like to know if this hair loss happens from the root or scalp, or from breakage from dry hair.

I am on shot 7, and all is well so far.  Biggest sides have been weakness, rages.  Went to the doc on Wednesday and was dissapointed to learn that instead of the 478000 viral load that I thought I was starting with, was actually misread by me as I should have read, 4,780,000.

As for the hair, any comments would be appreciated as that will tell me my plan of attack.

Thanks, Robin

wow jeff....that was a rather profane post, suggesting massaging a board members breasts, and various other parts of her body, intimate sex toys and clothing, as well as your offer to be a male escort , providing her with services for free of charge......as well as take photos of this event..and then offer a free lunch after, kinda sounds disgusting, and degrading to a female, not to mention, no matter how much you think your kidding around, on some level you are cheapening her and objectifying her as well,..i thought you thought of chevy as a friend, your words say otherwise.  i thought you were far more of a gentleman than that?...i guess not.  you should be ashamed of yourself for talking to a women like that espeacially so publicly.  now who's crossing the line jeff.

Hair loss from thyroid problems are pretty common on tx and after if you still have thyroid problems. I lost on tx off and on and now I am losing like crazy again this week. I stopped tx a week ago but my thyroid is still testing high. LL

I didn't start losing hair until week 20, so if you take the trial you talked about earlier, maybe you won,t lose any hair!   Joni
