It happens.  I'm so sorry. Now move on and focus on treatment plans to get rid of the virus and know we all make mistakes! I have four tats and always make sure my needles are fresh out of steri-surgical packs!

There are so many great drug option with financial assistance! So there is the right treatment out there for you.  My best suggestion, and my mistake from personal experience, get rid of the virus ASAP!  It's a virus that reacts differently to each person, so don't plan on a window of I've got years to figure this out! The sooner you try to get rid of it the better.

Please let go of the blame. Nobody is perfect! I had sex knowingly with a drug addict who told me he had an active liver infection.  Of course this was in 2979.  He waited six month to tell me the liver disease part--I'm the person who didn't practice safe sex....despite an AIDS pandemic!  It took awhile, but I did forgive myself and that's that.  Know too you can catch hep c from sharing toothbrushes and razors...it might not have been the tattoos.

So, educate yourself about options and get a good hepatologist (liver doc) and plan on getting rid of this disease ASAP.   Thank goodness you caught this early!!!  Good luck and best wishes, dbz

Hey you did not finish your post ...and because of that maybe I am speaking to soon however as a perimenopausal woman I can attest to the fact that night sweats and insomnia could be symptoms of lots of things.

Either way best to test for HCV Antibody to b e sure or if you are certain a bout this aspect then have the HCV PCR with a viral load. The tests are the only way to know for certain what you are looking. No sense in stressing yourself out by stressing or speculating about things like this :)
