has people had their ferritin levels checked also? just curious
wow..very surprised no one is looking at this
If you're talking about AFP alpha-fetoprotein, then you need to be concerned. AFP is a key cancer marker.
I can't watch youtube while I am at work but increased ferritin levels can be a sign of bad things including hemochromatosis.
Your hepatologist should be on this asap or at least explain to you why they aren't.

My Ferriitin levels went up tp 5X the norm which my doc said was common and that they would come down after treatment - which they have. They did check it regularly from the outset.
Bill no not the AFP...mine was within range thank god. But my CEA was elevated somewhat.
Anne the Ferritin level confirmed that I also have PCT so I will have to do some blood letting.
Thanks big daddy I got your PM
Jules
Interesting...My Ferritin level is about twice normal (488) and I haven't started treatment yet. Wondering what I might do about it, if anything. It appears though, that too much stored iron is not good, regardless.
