Hep c

Thank you everyone for the support, yes I know these forums can get a bit clicky, and newcomers are sometimes seen as a threat.  I don't answer to difficult people, because I do not feel a need to prove anything, all I know is what works for me and what doesn't.  The war between pharmaceuticals and alternative can get as nasty as differences of religion. There's no reason why people need to be nasty with one another, in dealing with this stuff, it is all just differences of opinions, but I also understand that when you have liver problems, you may also have emotional problems.  Thank you for the referral for Dr. Zhang, I will check him out, I am fighting for my life just like all the rest of you.
Love to all, Susan

Susan - the only problem most folks have is the promotion of alternative care...

Promotion of alternative care can be very dangerous to some of the folks here.... Who are looking for hope...

And when that hope crashes down - all you have left are cinders....

If treatment doesn't work for you --- then by all means try alternative ways to maintain and keep your body healthy for as long as humanly possible.

But currently the only thing that is PROVEN to work --- that has been proven to provide relief from the HCV virus is the current SOC....

Hopefully some day there will be an alternative treatment that actually works.

I sincerely hope so.

Cause there are a lot of folks who are non-responders or just can't take the current SOC.

But promoting or shouting out alternative cures to the forum --- well it can be seen as dangerous --- MEDICALLY --- especially to newbies who are terrified in the first place...

It's only an option to help prolong the life of the liver --- and in some cases - some of the alternative treatments that are available can kill folks...

So we're all very touchy about some products.

This is not to say alternative medicine might not find a cure --- it's just to say --- there hasn't been ONE --- any of them --- to be PROVEN in clinical studies to eradicate and kill the virus and stop it from mutating and continuing to damage the liver.

Much love and hugs to everyone.

On one of my previous posts I spelled it clicky as well but I knew the correct spelling, just trying to get down on the same level with Susan.  JD, no amount of words or advise is going crack that nut.  Too hard.

Susan,

You have posted three or four times the same question and rec'd the same answers!

This forum is filled with people who want to help anyone in need!  new comers are not seen as a threat, and there are no clicks that i have experienced and i am fairly new here.  with that being said,

i think what the others where trying to tell you is that if there were alternative treatments, dont you think  people who have treated 3, 4 5  and 8 times would have tried them if they offered anything!

We do not want to spend our life on interferon and riba and whatever other drug may come along, but some of us have no choice but to keep trying treatment with the meds that are available.

I hope that you find a treatment that brings you SVR.

This forum will always be here to answer any questions that you may have, regarding tX, sides etc.  We only want to help those who want help.

If your so bent on getting this alternative treatment then go for it! But stop asking us what we think, you already know!

But dont judge us, because you dont know us!

good luck to you

peace

I am sitting and reflecting about this kind of behavior. Here we are serious, honest and trying to be helpful. Obviously some ppl do not appreciate honesty. Most of us do not have much energy to spare, especially all you people on tx who I deeply admire. Then, trying to be helpful, we end up getting involved in writing the same freakin' sh1t over and over on 5 different posts. Sometimes I wonder, if the people who instigate these kind of threads are sitting in their chairs laughing their heads off after having insulted us.

Maybe these are ghosts coming back in different disguises...

This is the second time in the last two weeks we have something like this happen and calling us a click and not a clique... When I come to think of it, the same spelling was used last time.... Hmmm, could it be the same person????

Even if we were a clique, I would definitely be proud to be part of it! The elite heppers clique, every one feeling hep is welcome to join. Don't need to be hip, just be hep!

Love ya all,

Marcia

I don't know anything about alternative meds.  I know it will be scary for me too if the meds don't work out for me.   From reading here I think there are some people that do use vitamens, herbs, and diet to help themselves.  You might find some useful info/tips from them.  Good Luck to you...I hope you find something that works for you and I hope there will be new meds for all of us soon.

I also understand that when you have liver problems, you may also have emotional problems.

WHAT???

Your "understanding" is as flawed as your spelling and vocabulary.

I understand where you are coming from.  It's like surfing the internet, we have to pick & choose what is legitimate and what is not.  What works for us and what doesn't.  You know the old saying "choose your battles well."  Not to say everytime I express an opinion I think I'll end up in a battle but as the rhetoric plays out it becomes very obvious
that no matter what is said the point will never be given serious consideration so it's a battle that can never be won.  Henceforth, I try to channel my energy towards helping those that truly want information and guidance.  I'm learning just like everyone else, which is why I appreciate the sound advice from those on this forum.  Keep the good work going, you are helping people more than you know.

Thank you for sharing your wise words. And thank you for the kind words directed to me. I wasn't aware of what you said and am humbled. It is ppl like you who lead the way for us and I feel profoundly fortunate to have been embraced so graciously by everyone on this forum.

Who wants to be in my clicky click clique?
Jesus I thought I was out of high school many many years ago.

I have a feeling this poster really isn't all that new whatsoever and I'm really sick and tired of being called names after trying repeatedly to be nice and give good advice.

I wonder -

If you don't like the answer then why do you keep asking the same question and promoting the same vehement response all the while insulting those being kind enough to try and give you good sane advice at the same time?  Troll?  Either way I completely cease to care.

Take all the oxymatrine and herbs you want to.  When you hit stage 4 and cirrhosis maybe then it will all sink in that you are burning bridges with the people who would have tried to help you.

Like you're the only one who ever had hep? I do not give special consideration to those with emotional issues and who promote hostility as you are.

Please.........we've all had this disease and NONE of us have ever been as insulting, rude, self righteous and full of condemnation as you are. Hey wait.....you DO sound really familiar to me after all!

As long as we don't get hazed.  That was rough 35 years ago!!  Besides, I stay in a haze most of the time anyway!!

NYGirl,

Quoted that scene from Tombsone incorrectly -   Doc Holliday said "I'm your huckleberry to Ringo" just before he was ready to kill him.  LOL

OH MY GOD WE HAVE A BUNCH OF TOMBSTONE LOVERS? THAT IS LITERALLY ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE MOVIES IN THE WORLD!

In fact we watched it so many times that my son and I would just sit and recite the dialog as the movie went on because it was so much fun!  hahahahaha I can't believe it!

Johnny Ringo....................ah Michael Biehn when he still had a career and was really cool.  Man the cast in that movie tops just about ANY other one I have EVER seen!  Too many hot men in that movie to even start listing or I'll forget completely everything else that is going on!

"You tell them I'm coming - and Hell's coming with me! " Wyatt Earp to everybody with a red scarf. :)

"Go ahead and skin it! Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens" Wyatt to a very fat Billy Bob Thorton pre Angelina days..... ;)

Oh Rita you can't have forgotten it because the cast is like: Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer (when he was still young and hot), Bill Paxton, Sam Elliot, Charleton Heston, Jason Priestly, the dark haired guy from Titanic (can't remember his name but the star under Leo), billy Bob Thornton, Terry O'Quinn (from Lost), Powers Boothe - jez and even more I can't think of off the top of my head........................

some kind of serious man candy movie for real!

The only casting person I did NOT like was the woman that they had star in it who's name escapes me...she was just ack to me..............

(or maybe I was just jealous!)

Definitely a rentable watch a ton of times movie classic western!

I used to have SUCH a crush on Michael Biehn (can't believe I didn't list him!) He was so cool as Johnny Ringo - then he went and lost his career somehow and last I saw he was reduced to being in some movie on the Sci-Fi channel.....I couldn't believe it!

And I must have watched Bill Paxton in every movie he's ever been - I used to sort my DVD collection by 'actor' not by title or genre.

And Kurt Russell? Dear Lord that Goldie Hawn did something right in a previous life!

Sam Elliott is one for the AGES - he's been "the" hot cowboy for as long back as I can remember watching cowboy movies!

Need I go on or can I be invited too??????????????????????
