took first shot-still waiting for symptoms....

Hello-Last night I took my first peg-intron shot and my rebretrol pills and it is 14 hours later.  I guess I made my self think it was going to be real bad. The worst symptom so far that I got was unable to stay asleep.  I took my valuim before I went to bed and then again in the middle of night.  Maybe it will hit later today-who knows or maybe the next shot.  Also, I was feeling sick already from the hep c so maybe this is why.  I should just be happy so far so good-but....it is only my first shot!!!!!!!!I might be jumping the gun!  Any insight on this-I would appreciate any comments that others went through.  I am 2a and have low viral load and normal enzymes but have had a lot of fatigue and other problems.  I love this board and all the people here-you guys helped me make the decision to start the treatment!  I am thankful for all of everyones help-Good luck to everyone going through treatment!

Watch for Teleprivir if you are waiting for a bit.

However - I haven't heard of total blindness - I have heard of floaters and distance vision or worsening of vision to the point of needing glasses - but not total blindness.

Read the Supplement thread in the HEP SOCIAL forum.

Much luck to ya!!!

Hi Meki,

Thanks for writing back. So nice to here from someone that went through the same thing. I went through all types of test.

I haven't started tx yet waiting a couple of month so my job is less hectic so I can have more time for myself.

My symptoms come a go but are with me everyday. One day fatigue, other day pain joints, shortness of breath when waking up, and so on.

A little scared of tx cause i have some problems with my vision and heard tx gives problems with vision and blindness thats the only thing that scares me by far, the blindness. Heard of cases of people being blind of the tx so its very scary.

But have to do it cause its the only treatment.

Being looking at milk thistle do you know anything about this.

Thanks again for everything and if you have any questions that i could help you please ask, glad to help on anything.

hey hey --- meldencar hasn't posted since 2003.. That's about 5 years away from the boards.

Don't think you'll get those answers from them...

But --- I can tell you - if you read up on the board you'll find a lot of us are or have been in your same shoes. You've been here a long time - so I'm assuming you already know that.

As far as pre-symptoms --- I had a ton of them --- went in for every type of screening possible known to man --- ALL EXCEPT the HEP panel. When they finally came up with HCV - I was having crazy symptoms to the point even I thought I was a hypochondriac... LOL!

Yours don't seem too abnormal. Have you started TX? are you going to start?

what's happening with you hey hey?

Hope everything is good.
