Florida only gives medicaid if you are over 65 or have a child. :( The PECAN program through the county may help though. :)

Hi there, you can also go to this site for help.  Another member on here was in the same situation you are; Gilead was able to help get medication.

Good luck, Dee

Apply for Medicaid. It is really good in Florida and you should have no problem receiving treatment.

There are a few things you can do. The government has free and low cost clinics in every State. Some of them are willing to treat hepatitis C patients. Go to http://findahealthcenter.hrsa.gov/Search_HCC.aspx and follow the directions to find clinics in your State. Make sure if you find one that y0ou ask specifically if they can take care of hepatitis C patients. Some will and some won't.

The other thing is to call help4hep and speak with one of the counselors. We keep data bases of resources and they are likely to be able to help you. The phone number is: 877‑435‑7443. We are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
