Hepatic encephalopathy

by SteveHepC, Sep 18, 2008 05:11PM
Today I had an episode while driving 12 miles home from the store. I don't remember the drive, or unloading the groceries. Was I driving on instinct? How dangerous is that.

VL 2,300,000   ALT 95   AST 85 Albumin and Total protein normal,,,,,,,,,,GGT spiked to 428........no jaundice, no fatigue, normal urine color.............Type 2B, treated 3 years ago......responded, then relapsed.

I don't know if it's Hepatic encephalopathy but I would ring the Dr. and let him/her know what happened today vwhile you were driving---that's very scary.

Sometimes we do zone out while driving but not 12 miles worth.

I hope it's not serious...

I made a mistake in my original post. My GGT was 248, not 428. Anyone out there have high GGT, and if so, any advice as to how to get it down?

Steve
