Hepatitis C - After Effects From Triple Treatment

I have noticed that this treatment effected my legs.  I'm starting to wonder if its from the
Interferon injections.  I have inflammation in my thighs that I didn't experience before
treatment.   Has anyone else experienced this after treatment?

I just asked my new Doctor to refer me to a specialist for the thyroid. I don't
have the labs to compare for the thyroid.  My new Doctor has check my
labs twice. Because of GP's lack of Hepatitis C treatment knowledge - I 'm
taking any chances. Well I guess this could be connected to that and thyroid
problems are in the Pegasus warnings.

Sorry this is not related to inflammation in your thighs (I did put a response in your other post though). Anyway. this may not be related but I have seen several posts saying you developed Hypothyroidism during treatment. Although you need to have Free T3, T3, Free T4, T4 & TSH to be sure it is almost always attributed to Interferon. It is called Interferon-induced Hypothroid.

What was your baseline TSH and what was it the last couple of times you had it tested? I have not heard you mention taking thyroid meds so I was wondering if your TSH is elevated but in the "subclinical range" where some doctors adopt a wait and see attitude.

Feeling shaky and weak can be a symptom of untreated Hypothyroid. It wasn't for me at first but it is now. I am not sure where you are with all this but you might want to scan through your labs and ask your doctor what the next step is.
