High heart rate

Is increased heart rate a common side effect? Just finished 11th injection peg + riba was taken 100 mg wellbutrin. I noticed blood pressure 147/87 heart rate 116. Last lab wbc 2.4 platelets 138 neutrophils(absolute) 1.6 Lymph (absolute) 0.5. I'm 5'6" 190lb overweight. I stopped wellubutrin last wednesday totally. Kind of scared about resting heart rate @ 116.DR suggested you begin a short trial of clonazepam . Any response?

im facing the same problem since week 9. Now im on week 13. My resting pulse rate is 80. The day next to shot night is very bad for me. it goes up to 106. At the start of week 9 my bp was also up to 140/100 (my normal is 110/70) but now bp is under control. I talked to my doc, he said that it is due to anxiety. he proscribed inderal 1+1 which is helping a little and I still have this problem.

I should add that, no, my higher heart rate is not due to lack of water - but I didn't get an answer as to why it's high.  Doc doesn't seem a bit concerned about it so I'm trying to quit thinking about it.

My heart rate has been increased since starting TX too.  My resting pulse now is sometimes close to 100 and, prior to TX, it was 60.  I think the day or so prior to my shot, my heart rate starts to decrease a little bit but then I take my shot and it goes back up.  I talked to my GI's NP about my heart rate and she asked me if I was drinking enough water.  I thought that was kind of funny...water cures it all!

Your labs are a little low...but at week 11 not unexpected.  What does your doc say?

In the beginning I would get a n increased heart rate from the meds, but that has subsided.  

Maybe the increased rate is from stopping the Wellbutrin abruptly.  Just a guess...I'd ask your doc.

This states this med can triger depression in pts that have a prior history of depression...depression is a side effect of tx.....maybe worth mentioning to your doc as well.

What is the question about LabCorp and hcv pcr?

Hopefully someone with much more knowledge will chime in, but weekends are kinda slow sometimes.

no, your question is far from stupid. I have a very similar and worrisome problem with a much higher pulse rate than usual and spectacular blood pressure fluctuations since treatment.

Problem is, there's not a lot of discussion in the forum about this, either currently or in the archives; neither is there much, if any mention on the medication pamphlets.

I assume it is not common, so we'll have to form a little pulse rate/blood pressure club. One day my pressure was 190/97, the next it was 97/ 74 (yes, 90/74). My resting pulse is well over 100. Am I dead yet?
