Yep....48 weeks but I can do it. Thank you for your kind and informed responses. Laurie
From your other posts you went und at week 16, while not the best response there have been others here that were still detected at week 12 and went on to SVR... The bad news is you will need to treat for a total of 48 weeks.......... Hang in there.
Wow that's good news...thank you for that!
Laurie
I know how you feel, I'm disorganized tonight also.
I do know a woman who is around the same age as you, and she didn't clear until the 12th week, with Incivek. She also had tons of terrible side effects, but she treated each side affect as they came along, and completed her 48 weeks. This poor woman looked SO pale and thin, especially her last few months of Treatment. I was very worried about her, to say the least.
But I am happy to report that this woman DID achieve her SVR (cured) and she looks fantastic again!
I am trying to shuffle through my blood tests and cannot find my VL except that I was over 4 million at start. At week 4 my log was H 2.01 then H 1.15 then less than 1.08 and again less than 1.08.....sorry I am too disorganized and tired tonight. I am thinking my doc said i started at 6 so my log drops were good just did not go negative on the PCR.
Thanks lj
Yeah, that is a slow response. What was your viral load at week 12, and week 16?
I went Undetected at week 4, before my third Med (Victrelis) was added. Some people respond better to Interferon then others,is the thing. African-Americans and to a lesser degree, Latinos, have a slower response to Interferon, compared to white and Asian people, also.
