How long for off label approval

My Dr is asking my insurance for pre approval for Solvaldi Olysio off label. Originally she said a week or so but now says could be 3 or 4 weeks till we hear.

I am wondering how long it has taken others from when their Dr asked for the off label usage before they were approved.

Thanks
Lynn

I have Atena and just got approved. This is my ninth treatment and they made be get a $711.00 blood test to see if I was resistant to the drug they denied at first but the Pharmacist went to bat for me and got it approved. I would say it did take 3 or 4 weeks!

I, too, am waiting for Sovaldi/Olysio off label.  It's been 3 1/2 weeks since my Dr. submitted.  I was told it could take 2-6 weeks.  I'm on Medicare and don't know if there's any holdup on that.

Hope we both hear soon,

sljl
