I am having high anxiety right now.

Man, I just feel soooo stressed out, and I don't even know why, it is a sort of "my skin crawling kinda stress"
I have to keep taking to myself. I need to stop projecting.
I guess everybody is right about me

I AM AN ABSOLUTE CONTROL FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't stand it when I feel loss of control.

Do you guys ever get this way?
I started my morning flying out of the bed with a righteous charlie horse biting me in the leg, first I couldn't move cuz it hurt so bad but then it started hurting until OWWWWWWWWWWWWW
So that was my alarm clock,....don't want to go there again

Way to go! I hope svr for you and no doubt some activity this year will help you get your mind off of hcv. Myself, I thought I'd be starting tx this Friday but it's been pushed back to March 3rd. The doc. and his np. said I have to be showed how to give myself the shots.

  Good day,

Either we "Debs" rule or the name is a risk factor for Hep C!  I hope it's also a predictor of SVR.

Five more days!  I'm counting down with you.  Maybe you're a little anxious because this is almost DONE.  You've been a good soldier and it's almost time to go home.  Keep waving to us from across the shore.

I had the same stress overload moment a couple of weeks ago (posted "riba rage" that day about yelling at my kids).  One thing I'm learning is to wait a few minutes or hours and my mood/symptoms often completely change - just like the TX weather and I really do mean TEXAS.

By the way, I later apologized to my kids for stressing on them and they didn't even know what I was talking about.

I'm also a control freak who has had to give it up.  But it still makes me feel really good to make a list and accomplish something (my lists are shorter and simpler than they used to be but it makes me feel a little more in control--e.g. get out of bed, clean hair from drain, rent MR. ED episodes).

XOXO. Deb

Hey Deborah, I don't see anything odd about you sleeping with a horse my wife sleeps with a pig:) I am an A personality and been told a bit controlling it was hard to slip into the passive gear but once I did my wife has taken charge and it has taken a lot of the pressure off of me. You don't need pressure during the treatment. Like on of the others said let it slide and just don't care if it meets your perception of perfect. I'm so busy peeing I don't have time to worry about crossing T's and dotting I's. I hope your med settle down and your back on the horse pretty soon. Good luck to you. Dale

I agree w/nygirl that AD's really help. From reading here on the threads all the sx's to expect, I had my Doc start me on Lexapro a month before starting tx due to the anxiety  I was having pre tx.  Had a lil anxiety after starting tx but a lil "mothers helper" would help with that.  The Lexapro really helped.  I have been very fortuvnate not to have the Ccharley horses galloping thru my bed so far 24/24.  Mostly joint and muscle pain.  I do make sure I eat at least 2 bananna's a day and get a least a gallon of water down a day.  Lots of water, keep hydrated.

Best of luck to you killing this virus.  We are all in the barn w/ya shoveling poo!

Oh my GOD Strator - oh Don - I can't even type.  Please don't make me laugh THIS hard ... I am going to get fired.

In addition to walking around with a #1 sign and piece of Saran Wrap I think that is going to be my mantra - certainly people will let me go ahead of them in line for not only the blood suckers office but at the grocery store and the gas station and the post office............we are realy some sort of nuts.  Ooops back to the Saran Wrap again. Dear God.

Your poor uncle - he must have really thought you lost it. Oh man I can't stop laughing now.

I agree! From what I had learned (even before finding this wonderful place to share experiences) that AD can help many on TX (even if not needed PRIOR to tx) My own experience, as my sister works for a drug company, was start AD just prior to tx. So I did 2 weeks prior with Zoloft ( 25mg~1st week >>50 mg for the next 7 weeks) BUT did not do well on this particular chemical, (difficulty swallowing or tightness in neck/throat started even before my peg & copeg) and there are so many other choices out there; I am now on my 2nd week of trying Lexapro 10 mg. The previous issues from the Zoloft may be subsiding a bit, too soon to tell. I had never needed AD help in the past though, thankfully...

GOOD GRIEF! I feel like Charley Brown. This is where the press secretary is suppose to step in and say..."What Vice President Quayle meant to say was....IF I wore a collar...and Big Chuck is a Secret Service code name...

Yesterday I was in a basement, I'm tying in a live panel, as I'm wont to do when I'm nervous I started talking out loud to myself while I tried to get wires in place without an 'explosion', babbling some infamous quips from this board that came to mind...."poo threads and Christmas and Riba's my mistress... Not worried about it sounding like babble cause no one was around. Except I forgot my uncle outside at the meter box at the other end of the inch and  1/4 pipe the wires were going through. All o' sudden I hear echo through the pipe..."What THE H***... You been sniffin your oil paints again!"

Did your doctor put you on any AntiDepressant type medication before you start tx?  I was very uptight before I started them - the anticipation of everything was just too much. After a month of being on the Paxill - it really did iron out all my heebeegeebies.

I really think if you aren't on one perhaps you should talk to the doctor. They take a while to kick in but are totally worth it.

While it certainly is no Happy Pill...it does really help keep me LEVEL no drastic ups, downs or freak outs any longer.

first DUD I finally figured out how to toggle back & forth between pages to remember who (whom? -lol) and what I was answering/posting to here. I got lost a few times & gave up from trying to take notes~~sheeze I did used to be much brighter!
Momma~ I dont recall if I *used* to be a control freak, tee hee
BUT I do belive from the looks on my familys faces I am one now? I am<font color="#FF00FF"> Queen of the Universe aren't I? </font> humm
It is medication related on my end for sure. Some days more than others but always there. I often try to just zip my lip in time if i can. I am NOT the boss of me though, it would seem. It is that evil mountain (Mordor?) where the last gold ring must be thrown in to break the curse on mankind.

Strator~ you make my sides hurt from laughing
BTW I am owned by a lovely throughbred horse, not named Charley, who cow kicked me square in my right thigh just for touching him while changing his blanket recently, so I had a lovely collection of red circle spots from my peg shots AND a large horseshoe shape mark just below it for 2 weeks. Looking like roller derby girl here.

Gosh, I am sorry that you are going through this!  Can you talk to your doctor and maybe get something to help calm you down?  Also, I liked what strator had to say.  A couple of times this week, I felt really shaky and hyper when I realized that I had not eaten in quite a while.  Just a thought.

Yeah - I think CDM's on to something here. Next time have Big Chuck grab onto the collar BEFORE that 'explosive moment' and maybe you won't end up on the floor.

<small>and you say the low hgb is slowing you down....</small>

Debora(aww I kinda like lilmoma)  I can sure relate to your post. I feel especially stressed out or overwhelmed in the mornings. It can bust the whole day for me if I don't stop in place and get a few moments. Usually I know it will pass in a couple of hours and have gotten used to walkin through it. But some days I have to consciously take a few minutes to sit, ask myself if whatever is stressing me or feels overwhelming is something that would normally bother me if I wasn't on tx. Basically I ask myself 'how important is it.'I have yet to find a day when  the stuff making me crazy is all that important. If it was important I would probably expect it to bother me. I also know that I have to mentally check off that it's not just basics-did I eat? Am I overtired? Those little seemingly unimportant things can throw my whole day. Just keep an eye on it and mention it to your doc, I truly believe our emotional state is every single bit as important to our treatment and healing as the physical sx. I know my doc always asks me about that. It also helps me to sit and breathe deep from the stomach just picturing it all drifting away. Good luck with all.

I name my 'charley horses', right thigh is Big Chuck, Left SOB, rt calf is yo momma, left is No!No!. One night sprawled across the bed sleeping, in one explosive movement I shot off the bed grabbing the back of my thigh screaming SOB!- but I didn't realize Big Chuck was attacking too. When my feet landed on the floor I just fell flat forward ...THUMP! My kid ran in..'what happened..who's chuck?"
Hang in,
Don
