So sorry you're having such a rough ride. You might want to try making tea with grated ginger - ginger helps alleviate nausea and it will help increase your fluid intake. Hope you feel better. ❤
Oh my, I remember this too! Sorry it's so hard for you right now. Just keep remembering that these meds are killing your virus! It does sound like you could benefit from an anti-nausea medicine. The nausea was pretty bad for me too. One day my hubby smoked a piece of meat, he was so proud when he brought it in the house, and the smell immediately made me gag. I said, sorry, can't eat that. I had to quit drinking coffee, as much as I love my morning coffee. I found that the coffee also made me vomit. I could drink it again in very small amounts after finishing the INC. I'm not sure why I had that reaction to coffee. Are you a coffee drinker? It was hard for me to give it up for a while but much harder to drink it and then....well, you know. Hang in there!

I was told I could take imodium for the nausea but have not tried that.
Immodium is for diarrhea. There are other meds for nausea. Hang in there!

Hi girl, I want my Mommy too ! So sorry you are feeling Yicky, Yucky. I hope these sx pass for you . Have you called your doctor for some nausea medication ? Dont let things get worse, they are there to help you get through this.
I started triple tx last Friday also and have been having problems myself.
I haven't actually thrown up yet, but yesterday morning was about as close as you can with out the actual act. I wish I could have let myself do it, but after taking the meds, I was bound and determined not to. Had to walk around in the yard barefoot for 10-15 minutes. It was cold and dark. My afternoon incivek dose was almost as bad.
I thought about it and this nausea is usually only bad after I eat, so I thought about changing my 20 fat gram meal.
I did it for the night dose and I seemed a little better when I went to bed. I went with something different this morning and waited 10-15 minutes and that helped a little.
I will be contacting my dr this morning and I will tell her that some nausea meds need to be used.
I've heard the itching can get bad during the night so I started taking a single benadryl before I go to bed.
boy, those statements take me back. And back was only 10 weeks ago. I had all the sides you are talking about, I was on every helper I could get. prescription cremes, anti nausea, benadryle, tylenaol, AD's Oh and the smells! Had to change shampoohs and soaps several times. Couldnt even go in the kitchen most days. Stayed in bed for pretty much the first 3 months. Once you get off the incivek things will ease up. I could of used mommy and daddy!
force yourself to drink water I drink 3 32 oz glasses of water a day and am 145 lb
Ask you doctor if you can take antihistamines. I take Reactine, it's okay with the meds I'm taking... I have not only the rash from the drugs, but a long standing skin issue (autoimmune) so I've got a double whammy. Reactine works great for me - no more rashes!
The stuff costs a fortune so I got a script for a dosage not available over the counter, which helps. :)
Not every antihistamine is equal... I had to try a few before I found what works for me. Claritin and Aerius do nothing for me at all. Benadryl works but I can't function taking as much as I needed to keep the rashes at bay (10-12/day!).
Keep your head in the game. It is tough but there will be an end to it. Stay focused on that - it will come to an end and be a distant memory.
Best, Anne
oh boy..some sx will get better but tx can be tough..i'm into my 10th week...so many sx...but i am able to tolerate them...i could never work...at least not building...too dangerous...last two days were bad..fever wasn't fun... today so far i'm doing pretty good...good days and bad days....when my hemo dropped and i had real bad anemia that was the worse...please keep an eye on your blood work..the burning when you poop got better for me at about the 3rd or 4th week...my rashes are bad...lots of itching and bleeding.....like i said if you hang in there you will be able to tolerate the sx better in time...be ready to bring in rescue drugs if needed....good luck...billy
thanks for the support guys. I have a hard time in the mornings with food, I fix a bagel for breakfast and I have to force myself to eat it. Yep I have dry skin I do moisturize though sigh.... the rash is behind my knees, sides of my breasts and under my arms it is other places as well but those are the ones that itch like fury. I know I will get through this! I just hope that some of it gets easier like the vomiting.
Sorry to hear your are such a rough time. I am on week 4 and still no rash. The pharmacist mentioned that the rash is more prevalent in people who do not regularly moisturize and/or are already prone to dry skin. I always used moisturizer but itbwas a light moisturizer. I switched to Gold Bond Ultimate Soothing and am slapping it on heavily multiple times a day. I have had itching randomly and this helpsb that too but I have not seen an actual rash so you may be in a worse state. Am mentioning it anyway because it does not have an odor thank goodness. I have seen other postings say they have gotten a prescription from the doc that helped with the rash. You may want to call.
I was told I could take imodium for the nausea but have not tried that. The 5 or 6 times I thought I woulld vomit I ate 1 or 2 ginger chews and that worked quickly but you may be worse off than me if it's coming on that fast with no notice at all.
I definitely had the fluffy stuffy cotton head and even my tongue felt full of cotton. I am doing a bit better now. I found that I needed to eat something more substantial in the mornings and make sure I was not just grabbing quick nuts. I had seen someone else post that they had found something more substantial like banana nut muffins had helped, I think this is helping me too. I have also found that a zero vitaminwater seems to help. It's not as bad for me now so this may give you some hope that you will find the things that help you to cope too.
I am taking omega 3 pills too which i am hoping may also helps with the fuzzy head.
I hope it gets better for you. You should have hope too. Week 4 still ***** for me but this week was much better than week 1 or 2. Just keep doing what we can do.
Hoping things get better very soon!!! Thinking of you~
Vann
gee hope that eases up for you soon
Yes, it can be normal. Ask your doctor for a prescription for the nausea.
