Il28B polymorphism test

I would like to know if  any of you have taken the new IL28B Polymorphism test that is now offered by LabCorp?If so what were your results?Im wondering how strong of an indicator this test is for SVR?I think Im gonna ask for one from my doc.Couldnt hurt right?

Ja, I figured you had. Just thought you might have missed that part because of your question about "how stong an indicator" the test is.
I doubt you'll find a lot of people have taken this yet. We'll just have to take LabCorp's word on it for now.

From the July 12 LabCorp Service Announcement.

"IL28B genotype was the stongest pretreatment predictor of sustained viral response, showing a higher odds ratio (OR = 5.2) than any of the other independently associated predictors of treatment response such as baseline viral RNA level, fibrosis stage, ethnicity, or fasting glucose levels."
