concerned about Dr.

I have as I have posted later on this month, the Dr. that I am to se I like, are there any ideas on how to get these people to listen in the fifteen minutes we are allowed. I need a break through medidatiom. I have been through the pain tx. clinic and do not want to be put back on oxcy or duragesic, and they can't tell me that there is not a pain medication between oxcy and ultram we all know there is.  I detoxed myself off the narcs during my tx. I couldn't handle never feeling both my feet were upside down. I feel that once you have been in the pain tx. clinic your listed as a drugy and that isn't fair and really pi--es me off. Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. As always your friend Spzyq2-Shirl

Thank you so much I have learned so much from the different sites, this one a fibro site and an cfs site. I'm just so tired of trying to get these Dr.s to either get it or even really give a sh-t. California is so plastic and no one ever seems to have time to listen. I would love to go home to Portland where the Dr.s there did but what is is and I shall figure this all out. It is just hard to fight when you don't have enough energy to fight with everyone all the time including or not excluding my husband. At any rate thank you for the info and I will do my homework prior to my appt. on the 29th of this month. Thank you and hugs Shirl

I detoxed off of pain killers (morphine oxy) by using Suboxone.  It's like the upper class Methadone so you don't have to clinic all the time.  It IS in fact a painkilling medication but it's NOT narcotic.

I have to go to a shrink every month to get it.  You have to find one at a hospital because...they have to be certified special to dispense this medication.  It's like one of THE most controlled substances known to man. WAY more than Oxy or Morphine or anything.

But it works.  I don't get high so I don't take more than what I am supposed to - but I don't go through withdrawl.

If you are in the NY area I can give you my docs name. The only problem is they give you 30 or 60 or 90 a MONTH so you have to come back EVERY month or you get dropped.  It's that controlled.

You can look it up in google there is a lot of documentation.  I found my doctor online as a matter of fact under a site that listed a who's who of being certified.

It's really a true lifesaving med.
