I've had HepB twice, a long time ago. In '95 my new doc did labs and found interesting info. I like desrt, had the antibodies for HBV but the antigens were gone and I had nothing to be concerned about as far as HepB went. The tests also showed that I also had Hep A but it was inactive like HepB as well. Along with that I found out I had HCV, but that I'd need tx to remit that virus. After I was told what the tx was I decided to wait. Thats why I'm here now. Week 22-24. Many get HBV and remit it automatically like myself and others on this thread, it's not uncommon. Good luck in your future endevours, oh you are correct, not many with HBV on this board but google HBV and there is great info out there. Try the Archives on this board and look for hep b... Out... Pauly
kakatua, thanks for the additional info.
jimmy, if you're registered w/clinical care options, there's some new info available there as of this a.m.
desrt is right, but let me add little bit there....
as long as the anti body still active, then case like 'desrt' will be fine, but if the virus get reactive 'desrt' will need to do some normal routine (check up and follow up with the doc.)
I had hepatits B 30 years ago. In 1992 my gastro told me I had the antibodies, but couldn't get it again or give it to anyone - so I guess that's about as "rid of it" as it gets. My understanding is that this is the case with most people, and those who are chronic or carriers are the exception rather than the rule. Really don't know that much about it since hep C was always much more of a health concern to me.
kakatua i have a relative with inactive hep b, and he never treated. dunno when he got it.
me to, I dont know where and when I infected by this virus.
but I got it. I feel ok and very healty. and I'm being positife here, I dont think the virus can be reactive and I wont have any hard time because of it.
=)
the chance is very slim, need somekind of miracle.
But just make sure the HBV virus in-active you are as good as normal person.
