treatment and autoimune disorders

My sister has Hep C geno 1A, F3, normal enzymes 58 years, very thin.  She is a stong vital athletic woman who has lived with and survived many autoimune disorders all her life.  She started out as an adolesent with ITP  (too few platelets) and now has Myeloproliferative Disease (too many platelets).  She also has had Myasthenia Gravis and was, at one time, diagnosed with Lupus ( although that may have been wrong). She is considering treatment but wants to find out more about possible autoimune problems during and after treatment.   I seem to have read some about this but of course don't know where.  Anyone have any information or good articles I can send to her.

No new news on my treatment.  HGB fell a bit this week so I will not add any extra Riba.  Just keeping on keeping on.  Trying not to be totally obsessed.

Orphanedhawk, did see some Whales at the ocean this weekend and said hello .  Later, Ocean.

How do you and your sister both have HCV?  Was it passed within the family?  at birth? or other manner?  I am curious.  Also, there may be some correlation between your sister's HCV and the history of autoimmune related problems.

My sister  got HCV from a transfusion for one of her diseases.  Not sure which one.  No family link.  Just bad luck.  She is 1A, I am 1B.
