Liver Biopsy 2 weeks ago no results yet???

It has been two weeks since my liver biopsy and no calls from any of my docs.  Should I call my doctor's office and ask if they have the results.  I hate being a bother to the staff.  I know they are very busy, but I really would like to know.  Any suggestions?

I called the office today and was told a few of the doctors will be reviewing my results next week.  The nurse told me that I will hear from them by the end of next week.  I am not sure what to think about this.

thissuks88 - As for the procedure itself  I can honestly tell you that it was not painful at all. The  procedure was over in no time.  I was very upset and scared prior to going to the hospital for the biopsy, but luckily I had a wonderful nurse who explained everything to us and put our minds at ease.  She also stayed with me through the procedure itself.  I heard alot of horrors stories about liver biopsies and I can tell you all the fears I had were for nothing.  Educating yourself is your best bet.  I have found the people on this forum are very informative and knowledgable.  I have learned alot from this forum.  They will also help you find answers and additional information if needed.  I too am new to this, but I have accepted it and now I am ready to fight to rid this from my system.  When I do get the results I will share them.  I am sure some of my friends on here will be able to help me understand the results.

Yes it usually takes a few days for results. Good luck. If your doctor considers you a pain because you asked I would be shocked and would find another doctor.

You’re doctor should definitely have results from pathology. They generally turn them around in two days or so; so yes, call the office and schedule follow up.

Good luck,
