anxiety question...xanax??

i'm wondering if xanax is safe to take while on tx...i'm not on tx yet but plan to tx as soon an the new tx come avalible...i cracked a couple ribs a few weeks ago..on day 10 the pain was so bad...i went down to my x wifes house 12 in the night with pain that was so bad i thought i should go to the hospital..she said i probably was having such bad anxiety that it made the pain worse...the pain brought tears to my eyes...she gave me a xanax...in an hour i was feeling ok...still lots of pain but ok...one thing i think i will most likely have trouble with is anxiety while on tx...thinking i'm in real trouble and making my sx worse with anxiety...i couldn't believe how well the xanax worked...is it safe??? and what is the best anxiety med to take while on tx? i don't take anything but i really think i'll have to..thanks ......billy

on wk27 and I take 0.25mg Xanax at bedtime. It`s the only thing that helps my tx
insomnia.My hepatologist ok`s Xanax on tx.

Xanax is ok to take but just take extra precautions because it only takes a little bit too much to knock you on your axx.  If you had that much pain from broken ribs you should have gone to the hospital just to make sure it wasn't anything worse.  Xanax does absolutely nothing for pain but I understand what you're saying.  Still if I was you, I would have them ribs checked out.
