frustrated

Back a few weeks ago I wrote about finding out I have gall stones. They dont want to surgury, said it is too risky right now. Today my GI called and wants me to have a ultra sound and blood work to see if there is a blockage in the ducts. I am having a hard time getting medication I checked into a study and they said due to me 1 having been on tx in past and being a geno3 I am not a good cand. Waiting on ahe pharmi. company is seeming like forever. Right now I have been in such pain , dont want the pain meds unless I really need them. Sounds like I am just crying. I guess my question is if anyone has ever heard of things like this??

They were considering removing my GB but the low platelets make the surgery too risky same reason they cant do a partial transplant. What are the Dr's allowing you for pain?

They dont based on what they have told me think my body can handle surgury. For many reasons I guess. I am stage 4 Thanks for the support.

I'm sorry for your pain.  I had my GB out about 7-8 years ago and I remember what that pain is like.

It's probably best to take it one step at a time.  Have the gallbladder tests to find out exactly what's wrong and then get that problem taken care of.  Then you can concentrate on how or when to get treatment.  You do not want to go through treatment with gallbladder issues.  Get that problem fixed first.

I have the same, a few big stones that give a lot of back pain, I havent had treatment and am a 3a but with stage 4 cirrhosis, The CT scan is the prefference for my Heptologist over ultrasound and less painfull. Also have you low platlets the inhibit blood clotting and enlarge the spleen?
Hey, it is real pain and your not just crying, Because we dont process pain meds well with the liver issues, there isnt much we can take anyway.
Good luck
