ah, Christmas,  the stuff memories are made of! BTW, my cautions about his retreatment outlook were based on the assumption he was  a 1. As a 2b the prospects are  rosier - though  some mental preparation for the possibility of a negative outcome is probably wise in any event...All the best.

I wanna jump in here and wish my "NEW FAMILY" a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Without this group of wonderful, caring ,experienced first hand info...I think I would have given up persuing any possible treatments due to what my Dr. said to me 3-4 days ago! First I was devastated, then I was mad, now I'm searching for all the information I can. Hey I'm a poet!? I'm gonna get rid this Dragon! I'm gonna, fight, fight fight, with all my might!
I send my hugs to all, Annette

Happy Holidays everyone! I wish an easy tx and SVR for all. I'm here to tell you that there is life after tx. I am almost back to normal except for my daily nap. I'm 7 weeks post tx. Hang in there. It is worth the ride!

Good morning everybody!!!

Yesterday was a tough one.  At 4:00pm while I was still at work, I called home to make sure that my hubby had went to the store and put a ham in the oven.  To my shock and disbelief, I found that he was still in BED!

I got off at 5:40 & company was arriving for a grand dinner by 6:00.  When I got home, not much was done.  It was a nightmare come true.

I started opening up cans & ect.  When company came into our door, I put them to work.  We finally had a late dinner.
My feet and legs hurt so much that I layed down on the sofa for a few minutes after dinner.  Ha!  I fell asleep.  Hubby also come over to rest for a minute...and he fell asleep, too.

Evidently, the family had Christmas and played games until the wee hours of the morning.

I woke up after they left...and tried to put up the food. Most of it, I threw away since it had been out for hours. I am going to get a shovel and clean the house this morning. ;)

We survived...I think.

Now for round two...another Christmas dinner...I hope that I can stay awake for this one.  So far, this has been one of the hardest times we have ever had.  LOL!  Looking on the bright side...it only has to go up from here.  right?

Oh, by the  way...someone is sleeping on our sofa.  I am not sure who it is, yet.  LOL!

I am thankful for a new day...
love ya all...and just know that you are not the only ones that are having a hard time!  Somehow, in some weird sort of way, that thought should comfort you all.  LOL!

Merry Christmas ....
Shebee the Exhausted

P.S.
My greatest joy has been reading post from all of you (good & bad.)  Thank you for my Christmas Presents!

Well, Indie, that story finally melted this Grinch's heart. I have had a rough one this year, and that helped me a whole lot. Give your kid an extra hug for me.
ringading, you are the living end. I will be at the next party. Trust me and I will bring my own ammo and N-A beer.
Just want to say that I am so glad that I have this home to come to when I am up and not so up. I wouldn't have survived this far on this stuff without you guys.
OHC, still thinking of you and hope you are feeling better. Jerm is going to be coming your way soon. It was a joy to have him home for a while.
I don't have a tree up or any of that stuff, but at least I have the holiday in my heart.
Happy Holidays everyone and SVR for us all!

Well...It's 3 am and Santa FINALLY came through Indiana. Actually, he just left Seattle according to the Norad tracking site but my kids were all up late so he had to backtrack.
I got kinda caught up in all the frenzy the last few days. Was still shopping today! Had to get the Warden(wife) something so the "heat" was on! I managed though. Do Cheetos and lotto tickets count as a present?  Hahahahaha  Just kiddin    I had to do PLUMBING when I got home as the bathroom faucet broke. This required THREE trip to the hardware store....on Christmas eve! Each trip was farther than the last cuz they all started to close. Then came the wrapping! What a mess I was. But I was saved again by Duct Tape! GOD...I LOVE that stuff. Kinda looks like wrapping paper too! Nobody will need to trim their fingernails for a month by the time they get all them presents open. hahahahaha
The best was the end tonite. I found the cookies and milk that the kids MUST leave for Santa. My young one(Justin) also left a note. It says..."Dear Santa..I hope you like the cookies and milk. We don't have any so I had to save them from my school lunch for the last 6 weeks. I also included a Nutrigrain bar. They helped me have energy in marching band this year. I hope it helps.  P.S.  I have been EXTRA good.
Well...I almost cried. Here I was all caught up in wrapping and presents and plumbing and the kid is the one who remembers the important stuff. He spent the whole day at church packing food for the homeless and helpless. I must say...I am humbled.
I hope you all have as good a feeling as I do right now. I'm gonna go eat me some cookies.....................

Congrats on finishing 50! I just took my last ribavarin tonight after 50 weeks of 1000mg and the Pegasys. I am going to a half dose of Pegasys, just to see if I can knock that fibrosis back a notch or two.

Merry Christmas!

Brain fog has been just about been gone for at least 90 days. I am a 1a with VL 9 mil. pcr at 8 weeks clear, and at 12 weeks clear. I take Pegasys and copegasys.I am on shot 45 out of 50, I credit my vitamins for the lack of sides. I only had to take procrit every 2 weeks for a couple of months. I believe becase of the vitamins/nutrition my blood cells are coming back on their own my white cell count is 6.8 normal, and it was 1.9 just 4 moths ago.

Not 1 of the 3 meds used for CBC,procrit, numegga, or nuepogen,  are  listed in my on-line PDR. I wonder whats w/ that? I'm sure procrit isn't experimental, they advertise it on tv.Makes no sense. Any ideas?        Joni
