Ja If I were in your shoes I would just view all pharmasset trials at www.clinicaltrials.gov and then telephone any principle investigators I could find or any other contact.  But when you read the studies and talk to them make sure to tell them if you are a non responder.  Many Phase II studies are for people who have never treated.

No problem curiouslady. I am looking at trials for previous non-responders. I will look again and try to find what you came up with.

I just put key word pharmasset AND (name of state) and two pharmasset studies popped up.  Jerialice spelled pharmasset with 2 m's which is why it may not have come up.  If you put in one of the states I mentioned the studies available there should come right up.  But if jerialice has treated before she would not qualify.  The one I am trying to get into is for tx naive patients only.  Sorry for any misunderstanding.

Can you give me the link to the study you are speaking about please? Nothing is coming up for me in my search that is all oral. Thanks much.

The trial I am speaking of is not listed yet. It is with their polymerase + protease + ribavirin (only one arm has interferon). It's a Pharmasset+Tibotec study

Pharmasset, Tibotec collaborate in hepatitis C study
Friday, July 8, 2011 12:32 PM
Pharmasset has entered into a clinical collaboration agreement with Tibotec Pharmaceuticals to evaluate in a phase II study the safety and efficacy of PSI-7977 in combination with TMC435, for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV).

This phase II study will evaluate the potential to achieve sustained virologic response 12 weeks post-treatment with an all oral, once-daily, interferon-free treatment regimen in patients infected with genotype 1 HCV.  The study will assess the safety, pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of 12 and 24 weeks of PSI-7977 in combination with TMC435, with and without ribavirin, in patients infected with HCV genotype 1 who had a prior null response to peginterferon alfa and ribavirin treatment. The study is planned to start in the second half of 2011.

"PSI-7977 is now being studied in interferon-free combinations with each of the three leading classes of direct-acting antivirals: Tibotec's protease inhibitor, Bristol-Myers Squibb's NS5a inhibitor and our own nucleotide, PSI-938. This advances one of our key goals at Pharmasset: to develop our nucleotide analogs as the backbone of interferon-free HCV therapy,” said Bill Symonds, PharmD, Pharmasset's senior vice president of clinical pharmacology and translational medicine.

It is there and they are recruiting.  But you will have to see where.  I know they are recruiting at a university hospital close to me and they are recruiting in FL.

You need to watch for the information on www.clinicaltrials.gov. It isn't there yet. They do not have the protocols yet as far as who may be included and who can not enter the particular trial. Just keep watching the site I posted.
